Vela's cry is incredibly... chipper. I don't know how else to describe it.

... I was hit with a surprise evolution from Jubilee tonight. I suppose I haven't trained her as vigorously as I normally do with my other Pokémon, but I really should have seen it coming. I have almost had her for a year, after all.

So.

Here's a joyful early birthday wish to this newly-evolved darling.

I've been greeted with a wonderful new member to the shroud today. Meet Vela.

... However, I'm encountering a bit of an issue. She seems to be feeding fear from me, despite being a very lacking source. In my experience, this means she might be on the ledge of starvation. If there are any places in Kanto or Johto where one could easily find human fear, that would be wonderful. Otherwise I will be spending the afternoon guiding her along with the rest of the shroud.

I've never hatched a Johtoni Misdreavus before, no less what seems to be a runt, so please let me know if hatching hungry is something I should be more deeply concerned about.

Never too early to learn Mean Look, I suppose.

We've gained another. Shroud member? during the time of the eclipse two days ago. I'm usually excited about new Misdreavus to care for but this one seems to be quite different. Hell it doesn't even have an actual necklace, the absorption pearls are on its head like a crown. What is up with this thing.

Turns out its name is Sunspot. I do not think I chose this name.

Any advice, if known, for taking care of this creature would be appreciated. As far as I know for now, it seems to be drawn to eating color rather than emotion. And in a similar manner to normal misdreavus, shows a degree of pickiness when it comes to what colors it decides to eat.

Pelipper mail! It’s a hot pink thermos filled with a soup of tofu cut into little hearts, bitter melon, ginger, tomatoes, and other vegetables. There’s also a small container of rice.

There’s a note attached: “Feel better soon, cousin! Eat this with the rice, it will help! -Zee”

Alright, everything is set in stone.

I was discussing this with a server a few days ago, and I've decided to take the Kantonese gym challenge. I'd realized I'd never once challenged it before, as a result of this being my first time visiting the region, so I thought I'd try my hand at it.

I'm going to be taking on the gyms in standard order, as I can't quite plan as easily if I did otherwise.

As far as I can tell, Pewter and Cerulean City should be no difficulty at all, given the type coverage of my team. But how the rest of the challenge will go, I'm unsure.

Er.

I suppose there's no holdup, then.

With winter setting in, I imagine you will want to move on to warmer climates. You are free to go. You have my blessing to take that firey menace with you.

Hopefully this leash will help you avoid committing more property damage and arson in the future. It's apparently 'fire resistant'. Whatever that means.

Adonis loves it very much and has not tried to scratch me today because of his wonderful new leash thank you.

... I could not thank you enough for the hospitality you've shown me for these past few months. It was completely unconditional and I could not be more grateful. I do wish you the best in your farm.. and forest.. keeping, and hopefully you will not have to manage one like myself for a long time. haah.

... I did bake you some berry-based pastries before I left; you might want to wait until they cool, though. Very hot.
