@N
He hadn't seen N ever since what happened at the P2 Lab. At first, he hadn't thought much of it - he would need some time and space to recover and, after what Ghetsis made them do, Touya didn't think he could actually help him, this time. He would show up when he was ready, he thought, and if he didn't… then it would be the best for him, he told himself.
Still, as time passed and there was still no sign of N, he started to get worried. What if something had happened to him? What if he had been captured again while Touya was hiding in his house? What if he had left again? The possibilities were endless, and even if Touya tried to convince himself that N was just staying away from him and that it was better for N, he couldn't help but be scared that something had happened.
He had started to try to find him, but he didn't manage to go far. He always got scared, and had to rush back home before a panic attack - and every time he did, he felt worse, and he only got more concerned.
Finally, his concern had gotten too unbearable. It would be better for N to stay away from Touya, but the thought scared him too much. N could be gone by now, to other regions or captured by Ghetsis, and Touya would never know, and would never see him again. He just had to try to look for him in one place. If he wasn't there, he woukd go back home and he wouldn't try to find him again, he promised to himself.
Touya took his strongest Pokemon and, as determined as he could, he rushed outside He had to leave before he changed his mind, before he got too scared, but by the time his Braviary took off, he was already trying to stop himself from shaking. The flight was short, but the cold and fear seemed to drag it longer than it should. Sam landed on Route 3 and, as soon as his feet touched the ground, Touya found himself leaning against the bird, holding on to him tightly.
He was terrified.
The Day Care was just a little farther. A few more steps. Sam pressed his beak against his arm and cooed in concern and, shakily, Touya stroked his feathers before forcing himself to step forward. Leave Sam out of his Pokeball so he could just check and rush home. He was being paranoid - there was no reason to be scared.
What if N was mad at him? What if N had left? What if Ghetsis had gotten to him? What if, what if, what if...
The fear was overwhelming, and he couldn't really control it. His heart beating fast, he stumbled away from the building and let himself fall against a tree, pulling his knees to himself tightly and digging his fingers on his arms as harshly as he could, trying - and failing - to distract himself from the fear.
He didn't even notice when Sam took off, hurrying to the Day Care to get help.
