Rolling hills and grasslands painted the vast countryside just beyond the path where the carriage drove. Electra imagined herself twirling aimlessly throughout the wild grass and flowers, like one would envision in a classic vintage film. The mere thought of dancing without a care in the world caused her lips to morph into an uplifting simper, which in turn helped cease some of her daunting worries about visiting her cousins. Much to her dismay, when her and her mother essentially became broke, their frequent letters back and forth resulted in nothingness. They couldn't risk allowing any of their extended family to learn of their financial hardship.
Now, after pleading, her mother authorized her leave to visit her cousins in Sharance. Speaking of the devil, the picturesque sight of rolling hills transitioned into buildings indicating their entryway to town. "Thank you very much!" She gratefully acknowledged the driver of the carriage, tipping him courteously for assisting in grabbing her luggage. As the coach disappeared in the distance, the young woman sighed a breath of relief, and started onward towards the mansion.
On the way, Electra noticed that the local clothing shop owned by one of her cousins was open for business. Instead of heading directly to the manor, she decided to drop by the store and surprise her cousin there. She walked inside, hearing the bell ring behind her, and approached the vacant counter quietly. "Hello? Evelyn? Are you here?" The purplette asked aloud, setting her suitcase down for the time being.
