It wasn’t like this was the first time they have asked this question to each other. There were enough moments between them where they would use this phrase to convince one another to do something but it was all innocent and harmless.

However, at that moment words sounded so serious coming from her and Woojin just nervously stared at the book in his hand. ‘um..you know..” he stumbled. Sure, he loved Hye and cared for her but the love was still in its very early stages of becoming romantic. it wasn’t time yet to confess something like that. After a moment of folding and straightening corner of a page, he spoke again. “do you mean I love you as a friend or I love you as like a girlfriend?” He asked very carefully.

Hyejung didn’t know exactly why she asked that. She didn’t know why she got serious about that when she was afraid of her own feelings. Maybe she liked him more than a lot. Maybe it was a bit more than liking. But it would be useless if he didn’t feel the same right? She thought with herself. Keeping herself with both feet on the ground would always be the best thing to do.

The barista knew the moment he stumbled that she was building up too much on her own feelings, and that was stupid overall. I was just asking.” Why would she ask him if he loved her as a friend if they have been living some kind of honeymoon on the past days? She pulled her phone and verted her attention from him, maybe looking at her instagram feed would make the situation less awkward. She wasn't his girlfriend, she needed to remind herself about that.
