UM OK SO THAT HAPPENED

Like.

It’s been like six hours and I'm still kind of reeling?

Misha called me today onmy cell while I was in class and we had a REALLY NICE CONVERSATION????

Ok ok ok ok lemme try and calm down and write about this.

So, yeah, like everyone else, I saw the thing last night about the 24 hours thing and was like ahhhhh I hope this applies to everyone, not just the people who are registering now! And then I saw Misha and dinomite tweeting about that kinda stuff and was like, okay cool, there are probably a good thousand people in the running for this lmao what are the odds?

But I was still kinda hopeful, but legitimately not really expecting it. because like, the chances were MINISCULE. And then people started getting calls and I feel like at this point I know a lot of people in the spn/Misha fandom, at least in passing or name-recognition, and I was seeing NO ONE I knew, so I was like ah well, itll be fun seeing people’s reactions!

But still I was checking my phone throughout class and just monitoring twitter and my email.

So then like, in my film class today, it was a pretty chill workload, just workshopping our analyses of the film for today, and at like 2:30 I got an email with the subject, “What’s your phone number?” And my stomach just like PLUMMETED to the earth’s core, and then my heart rate rocketed (like, feel-it-pounding-in-my-fucking-ears racing) when I clicked it and the body was, “Misha wants to know. Bwah hah hah…”

And literally like the only thoughts in my mind aren’t even words, its just the feeling of a series of exclamation points, and I'm like what the fuck. The fuck? The FUCK. NO WAY. NO FUCKING WAY. And I replied with my number, and a “hey if you could call after 3:25 when I'm done with class, that’d be rad.” But even as I was writing it I was like, ‘hmm I didn’t see like an official email address with this, and it didn’t come from the gishwhes account, and the body is so vague…this is probably someone who got into the gishwhes database and is emailing everyone and scamming them, oh well.’

And then they emailed back like, “yeah, he might not call given his schedule, but we’ll see – do you have a twitter handle?” and I was like, ok this feels sketch, so I was just like, YEAH I do but could you just help me make sure you're actually affiliated with Misha and gishwhes? Maybe have the gishwhes account tweet who to expect the email from.” Cuz for me somehow giving out my twitter handle was more personally risky than my literal cell number?? I don’t even know.

But then I never got another email. And my stomach came back up from the depths of the earth and my heart started to beat normally again, and I was like, “ok see, they were already like, um you might not actually get a call, and now they're like fuck she's onto us bail out.” I was disappointed but I was like hey whatever.

And then my phone rang.

Y’all. Y’all. My heart.

No but ok, this was kind of the weirdest part? I think that like since I’d just rejected the possibility of this being a real thing, but had experienced the insane adrenaline too of thinking that a call from Misha was imminent, in the moment when I actually had to get up, leave my classroom (cuz the fucker didn’t wait til class was over) and accept the call, I was literally SUPER calm?? And just, yeah. The whole time, I was really calm and, like, excited, but not manic like I’ve been before when the chance or possibility to interact with one of the spn people has arisen, and it was probably one of the more successful phone conversations of my entire like and I am NOT always great on the phone??

And just ok, it started with him going, “Hi, is this Alaina?” and I was like “yeah,(not quite but i wasn't gonna correct him)” and then he asked, “wait, is it Alaina or Aleena?” and I was like, “Actually, its Alena!” and he just went “Shit!” and then I was kind of laughing so I didn’t really hear what he said. But ahh guys like, people’s voices get kind of distorted over the phone so he just sort of sounded like generic DUDE at first, but then when he swore I was like AHA NOW THAT SOUNDED LIKE MISHA!!

And then yeah I was kind of reeling again that I was talking to fucking Misha, but it was so surreal that I think my brain just went, “literally nothing about this makes sense, you were in class two minutes ago, and now you're on the phone with Misha? Suuuuure you are. This isn’t real. So don’t stress about it!” so like since it was so unbelievable, so unreal…my brain didn’t freak out about it and instead I just had a really chill phone call!

So he asked me what I had been doing when he called, and I was like, “um, I actually just ditched class to pick up the phone, but its alright, there was only like a minute left (there wasn’t this was a lie sorry Misha lol but luckily my teacher had given us free time to work) so I just packed everything up early and was like um okay see ya guys!” and he was like, “oh! Are you a teacher?” (So apparently I sound old/calm enough to be a teacher!) and I was like, “No, I'm a student!” and we talked about where, and its in the pacific northwest so we talked about the area and it turns out we’ve been to a couple of the same random cities and really liked similar features about them, and both like the waterfront places along the coast from like Oregon to Vancouver BC, so that was a weird, nice thing to find out we had in common.

Then I heard someone come into his trailer and call him back to set (!!! Cuz he's fucking Misha Collins he's Castiel he was in costume fucking filming fucking Supernatural while he was talking to me ahh ahhh ahhhhh ok breathe) and he was like, “Oh shit, I though I had more time! They're trying to make me work.” And I was like, “how dare they!” and he was like, “yeah how dare they try to make me do my job!” And then he asked me about gishwhes and I told him I was a new, but now lifelong convert, and how much I really loved it and enjoyed it last year and can't wait to do it again, and he sounded really pleased about that, and then I forget how but SeaCon came up and I said I’d met him in my Dean LARPing cosplay and he remembered me and was like, “holy shit that was you?! what are the odds!!” and I was like “yeah, its crazy!” and that was cool and then he was like, I'm sorry but I do have to go, I thought I had more time,” and I was like, “oh yeah its cool! I mean, I wouldn’t hang up on you if you ever decided to call me again, just sayin’” and he laughed and was like, “oh definitely, I have your number,” and I was like, “yeah, you call me. Now go do your job.” And he was like, “ok fine” and then we said bye and hung up.

And so yeah, there I was, out on the quad by my classroom, just kind of staring at my phone and then I just kind of went back into my class trying to act like NOTHING INSANELY HUGE HAD JUST FUCKING HAPPENED. And I'm pretty sure I was just staring at my desk like totally bug eyed and I tried to do my work but I was just like yyyyeah not happening. And then like right after the class I was meeting my parents for a thing and they were like “Hi honey!” and I was like “HI I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MISHA” and that's when the adrenaline surged back in and I was like

AND YEAH. AND SINCE THEN IVE JUST BEEN RANDOMLY HIT OVER THE HEAD WITH THE SHEER WHAT-THE-FUCKNESS OF IT ALL AND JUST KIND OF SHRIEKED OR ZONED OUT LIKE OH SHIT WHAT OR LIKE LAID ON THE GROUND.

You’ve not bothered me, no worries!! I just had a hard time piecing it all together. For some reason it was just difficult to think of a response that wouldn’t just be “lol idk”

I try to actually put thought into my responses and if I can’t put together a well-thought-out response to questions, they go unanswered until I can force myself to stop and think about them.

I'm not trying to come off as "trying to shove God down your throat". I just have this general curiosity as why you would say that. I, of course, believe that you have a choice, to believe or not to believe, it's really up to you. But why would you state such things? What is the reason? What do you think your purpose is? Why do you think we exist? Do we exist just because? Or do you think there's a bigger purpose? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but thanks for reading anyways!!

We exist because lots and lots and LOTS of science-y shit (some of which is still debated to this day for some reason) happened and here we are. We have no purpose, and we have no reason. We exist, so deal with it.

You go through everyday affirming yourself that "there is still no god." It's like going through the motions, you think about God and his lack of presence or existence everyday. That's some dedication, but how do you feel after saying it? Do you feel satisfied, fulfilled, complete? Or empty? Hearts filled with temporary, worldly desires. What are you trying to achieve by saying that? You can say it a million times but it it will not make God any less real. Why do you say such things?

Honestly the reason this has sat in my inbox for three days is because I can’t force myself to care enough to think of a response. I generally try to actually put thought into messages and pay attention, but this one was just particularly....meh. I struggled to read all the way through.

I definitely relate to Dean the most because I'm the oldest and I understand that need to be self-sacrificing and to think everyone else's needs come before yours. I feel for Dean.

it's just chaos; solid colors, squares, stripes, and animal print, there is no structure.

I don't really wear perfume, but if I do it's always pineapple or coconut scented. I use whatever toothpaste is there as long as it is mint, fave body wash is like a honeysuckle/passion fruit thing.
