I have been thinking about this for so long and I want to ask your opinion because you always have wonderful opinions for everything. So, what do you think about fallen angels? Do they have souls of their own? Or are they never truly humans?
Finally, here’s your answer. I talked with my pillow last night and I finally know how to write what I think haha (it’s complicated in english, please people, understand me!).
For me, angels’ Grace IS their soul. It’s a different kind of soul, more powerful, more “static” (I can say) but still a soul. The soul gives you identity and every angel, even when they are taught they are just soldiers who have to follow rules and commandments, are unique, as humans are. After all, angels, as well as humans, are God creations, in my opinion he used the same patrol, in a different level.
As well as Cas, all angels use their Free Will (Balthazar connected with human lust, Anna with humans in general, Gabriel to pester others with jokes, etc). Uriel and the rest of the average angels have their free will dormant but they could easily woken it up if they wanted. They are focused on their “obligations” but it doesn’t mean they wouldn’t feel if they let it happen.
Cas was the only one who didn’t know he was woken his free will up and he did it anyway… and he is the one who, on the contrary of the rest, learnt how to use it and discovered it did (and does) it because he wants to.
That’s why I think, if Cas “falls from Grace” will automatically become a human. He is degraded, his position in Heaven of course, and the level of his Grace, who degraded was transformed into a common soul.
That’s why I think as a human, Cas will die as human beings die but he will be allowed in Heaven again, not as Cas the former angel, but as Cas the human being. Heaven cannot simply send him to Hell or Purgatory, after all the good actions he has done while living.
Perhaps I’m being heretic, but I honestly think that.
