My dad and I hit a rock groyne today with our boat, luckily my dad saw it in time to prevent a head on collision, which would certainly have been the end of our boat and would probably gotten me a visit to the hospital for at least a tetanus shot if I was lucky. I was sitting in the front and I would've either been launched out of the boat onto the rocks or gotten me a dislocated shoulder and a good bang on the head if my grip held. But we hit it side on, which saved our boat and I got away with a few bruises.
I'm a true lover of water and I'll never not like going out in our boat, but I got to say I didn't enjoy that last second before the boat was going sideways and I saw the rocks coming towards me at 60km/h (40mph) or the moment in which the boat yanked sideways and I got slammed into the side of the boat and we still hit the rocks.
So glad that the boat is okay, only the motor has some light damage but nothing that'll stop it and nothing we can't fix ourselves.
The adrenaline rush I really hitting now, it's been a bit over half an hour since we hit the groyne and the adrenaline is getting to it's high and I feel great. Don't even feel my bruises right now.
