Nightmare of the Wolf Buries its Gay

Spoilers for the Witcher Franchise ahead!

This observation may be a bit over sensitive but they kill the one gay Witcher ( Luka ) off very quickly and separately from all the other witchers. In a Franchise already prone to not treat gay /gay coded (Looking at you evil doppler character from the live action series) men the best (how they suddenly reveal Dethmold to be gay then brutally castrate and mutilate him), it made me disappointed that it happened again. They could have at least let him live till the finale.

The Witcher franchise has gone back and forth with Lesbian characters either being leering or respectful, gay dudes usually get punished. Even the one respectfully done gay character we meet, Mislav, was punished for his gay relationship by being exiled. Gay men don't seemed to be allowed to have much rep and it makes me sad since characters like Siri are so explicitly queer.
