Salmon fillets with a crispy skin and a rich miso glaze that adds depth of flavor are what this recipe is all about. Miso, honey, and ginger all have different tastes and smells that work well together to make the salmon taste better.
Ingredients: 4 salmon fillets. 3 tablespoons white miso paste. 2 tablespoons mirin. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons honey. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 2 cloves garlic, minced. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Sesame seeds for garnish. Chopped green onions for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to make the glaze. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin side down in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy. Brush the tops of the salmon fillets with the miso glaze. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized. Remove from the oven and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the salmon. Serve hot with rice or your favorite side dishes.
