So warm and charming! It’s my current read, and my first by D. E. Stevenson. An absolute delight, I am glad there’s two more books about Miss Buncle.

But... a Miss Buncle’s Book mini series, or even a series of the whole Miss Buncle trilogy (and even The Four Graces, maybe) would be SUCH a delight. Such great fun. Especially Miss Buncle’s Book on its own, with the whole book-within-a-book story, everyone going crazy, and Barbara just watching, and growing (without being watched) and all the humour, and the romance (one of the best proposals in literature!) and the... the everything! And the aesthetic!
Arthur Abbott is adorable.
I’ve really got to say that Miss Buncle’s Book has one of the most endearing, and unusual, proposal scenes. It’s so charming, and original, and yet so quiet and fits both of them so well.
