"What would you fancy comparing yourself to; a shark that prowls, using the haze of the water to hide and encircling until it strikes from an unseen angle? Or a crocodile hidden from sight who lies in wait for it's target to approach with a lowered guard, until it can strike with finality?"

Perched as he is on a rock far from the shore, one might imagine him to be more like the crocodile. He's been still for so long that, were he less practised in waiting without moving, he might have to worry about his legs not being strong enough to hold him when he finally straightens up. But Kayn is smarter than that; he's far past such amateur mistakes.
Mismatched eyes study her as Kayn considers the question. He's grateful for the distraction, when he knows that even now the wrong sensory combination could throw him back to the mud at Epool. A being of the likes he's never seen, however? She acts like a hook keeping him firmly locked in the present.
Finally, he decides. "A shark," Kayn says. "It's wise to always be in motion — that way your enemies don't know where to find you, or where to look to attempt to stop you. I don't mind staying still, but I'd rather be on the hunt."
