Using “Neurotypical” as a bad word is infuriating. Like please fucking stop. I’m still not over the time that a ND person was scolding me for not understand every aspect of their condition automatically and saying it was probably hard for a “neurotypical like [me]” to understand. Like I can not begin to tell you how offensive that was, how belittling of every struggle I’ve ever gone through that was, and how much it still bothers me now. And that’s what I see every time I see post or comment treating “neurotypical” as an insult, or as some weird new gatekeeping mechanism. STOP. Just because your are ND, that doesn’t mean everyone who doesn’t get you is an evil Neurotypical™. Don’t be an asshole.

And same goes for those who use “the neurotypicals” as some easy scapegoat for EVERYTHING.

News flash: ND people can be assholes just as much as neurotypical people can – sometimes even more so because a few feel like their condition gives them the right to be the end all authority on every ND experience out there.

The island killed the most important of the generals of our time! Robespierre…” arms crossed across his chest, Mole huffed in annoyance, feeling a rant coming on, but stifling it, side eying Kyle, “what do you want to play?”
