Days 59-62 of my Positivity Challenge

Pictures to come later. It's been a busy weekend!

So sorry for not posting, for those of you that follow this. I'll do a quick recap to keep it short and sweet because @embaier thinks my posts are ridiculously long.

Day 59 (Thursday): Again with the bitterness at work. I know what it is bothering me, and I'm not the only one... Thought long and hard about picking up a Friday AM shift at work because we need the money. FUCK IT. $13 tattoos on Friday the 13th are a once a year thing, so I switched shifts with Amie to go get my ink on.

Day 60 (Friday): Work kicked my butt today! One of our servers quit so we were short one person. I. Made. Money. CHA-CHING! I was excited to get out of work to go with Julie to get our tats! Amie suggested a different tattoo parlor than the one that had been the most advertised on FB. Short wait, and a lot of different, non-13-related images to choose from. Julie got a Four-leaf clover and a story to go with it. We ended up going to another place out at the beaches and waited 8 HOURS because of some BS to get our second tattoos. Matching ones. Birds. Our thang. Worth the wait!

Day 61 (Saturday): Surprise! Didn't have to work. I'll take a Saturday off when I can! Got to watch the final quarter of the Noles whoopin' some football butt. Go Noles! >>-------------;>

Day 62 (Sunday): Woke up to a text from my Mom saying she read my horoscope about some "surprises" coming my way. Worked a double at Ochux. I used to love working there, and sometimes I still do, but I cannot stand the obvious favoritism and lack of care for standard health codes. I, along with an accomplice, have decided it's gotten too out of hand and something must be done.

On the most positive note, my Mother's warning of surprises turned out to be true. I (finally!) recieved 2 checks from AXIS, totaling about $150. It's not a whole lot, considering I spent about that much in gas and paying for lunch, but I'll take anything I can get. Things are coming together as far as paying rent. So happy to be getting there, even if I'm broke as a joke!

Birthday Weekend continued: 26/120

Savannah is beautiful! And hot. And humid. But downtown/historic Savannah is very pedestrian friendly, which I think is great. We ate at Henry's this morning. A mom and pop kind if place that has simple, yet awesome food. We gorged ourselves on breakfast for a very good price. Spent the rest of the day cruising the shops on River Street. Nothing super special, but it is cool with the river right there and all the cobblestone roads. In GA you're allowed to drink in the streets, so we hit up Wet Willie's and had a few frozen concoctions before heading back and napping. Later on we hit Wet Willie's again then went dancing at 51degrees. Moe's afterward, ftw. Needless to say, my body has no clue what a diet is this past weekend. All worth it!

Birthday Weekend/Day 25

Rocky start! Julie and I totally forgot to do laundry before today so we were delayed about two hours for our trip. But! We are here now and it is awesome. I am lucky to have a friend like Dee who invites me to things like this. I can't wait to explore the more historic side of the city. I'm that girl that likes to read all the signs in front of the statues and landmarks. 😊 Also, I just have to share how much I love Julie. I'm lucky in my relationships these days, all-around.

Everything happened. Not complaining, either. I need to revise my focuses for this challenge. They'll be similar, but more in-depth. Friday is the day we travel to Savannah for Dee and Jason's birthday weekend. So stoked! Haven't been in years... Definitely wasn't old enough to enjoy it like I can now.

My Lovelies! See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil! Day 22/120. I wish I would have used this pic yesterday when it was taken.. It was much more fitting. My day in a nutshell: Began with disappointment. Worried about my car. My brother, who is normally really good with fixing cars, has left my brakes half done. Seriously. He was supposed to come back today but can't until tomorrow. It's inconvenient and dangerous! Midday I got to pick up some supplies for the beginning of the birthday extravaganza with Dee and Julie. Sucks that I had to work shortly after, but work wasn't too bad. I feel like most people would think I'm overreacting, but it irks me so much! 1. Julie took in our evicted neighbor's fish and turtles in a tank. I already expressed to her how I did not want EITHER animals in the apartment, ever. 2. Julie had nothing to do while I was at work (and no car to take anywhere, either). I asked her to cook something specific for dinner at 815, and by the time I got home by 1030, nothing was done! And now she's acting like a complete turd. I told her I was disappointed and she just threw a little hissy fit and smoked 2cigars and a bowl. I'm just calling it a night.

Not-so-challenging day 19

Easy-peasy! Everything went right today. Work wasn't as boring as I was expecting, spent some time with my momma 👩, had an awesome healthy dinner 🍴with my girlfriend👭... What more could I ask for? Bonus: got the entire next weekend off to spend with my wonderful friend, Dantiel, for her birthday! Woohoo! 🎈Just have to finish her birthday present now. 🎁 Flashback: yesterday I made my post before the best part of the night happened and I was sad I didn't get a chance to include it. Julie and I have been making an effort to spend super quality one-on-one time with each other right before we go to bed (it started out over a different reason, but so far we're 2 for 2). We call it out "8minutes". The first night I focused on her, and last night I was the focus. I got a much needed back massage, and while I massaged her feet, she played with my hair. What girl doesn't like that?! I am so in love with her. I think I've finally found my match.. The one where people can't imagine one of us without the other! 😍 Had to tell the world. 'Night, tumblr.
