No cause the thing is, how I imagine the wolf to have adopted by Keith in a Canon where he didn't dip and go on a space whale so he could be the 'tall' leader the team needed (somebody is projecting the growth spurt they wished they had onto keith and it shows) is initially Keith and the team are on mission on some comet and Keith finds Kosmo hiding, a little injured and clearly a scared little guy. It seems like the little guy had been alone for a while and while Keith's trys to help protect the leg he injured, the wolf chomps down on Keith. In paladin armour he's unfazed but stops what he's doing to allow Kosmo to settle which seems like the case.... for like 2 seconds until Keith finds himself falling from a height into the tree. He instinctively cradles the wolf from the impact and gets around to finished the bandaging, finding some food for him it.

Hunk stumbles upon this and begins crying like he's just lost someone cause that's his immediate reaction to anything cute. The team arrive and Lance is having feelings about this cause it just makes his crush on Keith too obvious to him after like half a season of oblivousness but we'll get to that later. Keith realises this guy has no where to go and asks the team if they can bring him with them, at least until his leg heals and then they can bring him back. Most of the team is very apprehensive cause like this is a fucking wolf.

The team unfortunately decided against the wolf making Keith a little sad but he agreed they were probably right about him getting too attached.

When they get back on the ship, he does some research on the wolf and figures out that it is a species of common domesticated wolves so it likely had an owner that didn't look after it well, but also that it'd hopefully still adjust well to the wilderness on the comet.

Keith goes to his room to mope about this a little until his hears that familiar teleporting noise and is ambushed by Kosmo.

They have already long since flown away from the planet but Keith has grown attached and can't bare to just drop the guy in the wild. Coran was only guessing when he said the guy would adapt to the well but he's a domesticated wolf so Keith can imagine this guy was brought up in people's homes and doubts he'd do well just being expected to suddenly live out of them. But there's an obvious problem, despite this ships size there's only 7 people and they all live in each others back pocket. This wolf will inevitably be discovered. So he tries to train the guy as best as he can get him food.

In the meantime, Lance discusses with Coran his feelings surrounding Keith and Coran unceremoniously dumps on him the knowledge that he has had romantic.feelings for Keith for a while now and he already knows and due to their already very close bond before voltron and cause he already told him, he knows Hunk definitely knows. Lance's brain malfunctions and he's left in utter confusion and also.fury for hunk not telling him.

Also meanwhile, Shiro has had some issues with accidentally teleporting (this is my explanation for him disappearing and they find him quickly this is an ongoing thing shush) and the reason they'd been on this comet was due to it being in similar circumstances to Shiro so could offer some explanations to why he's teleporting and how to manage it day to day

Keith for a good while hides Kosmo but Kosmo likes playing fetch and has started teleporting and giving him other people's stuff. The first to notice is hunk as his is meticulously organised tools and frankly he's going to be disappointed in whoever took them without saying, eyeing Pidge. Keith tries to sneak the tools back into Hunks possession but gets caught by Hunk and then Kosmo.seeing what he brought Keith is back away from him, teleports in front of Hunk.

Hunk is sworn to secrecy cause Keith didn't do this on purpose and the wolf is cute. But Hunk is rumbled when Lance confronts him about knowing his feelings for Keith but being vague enough that Hunk thought he knew about the wolf. And Pidge finds out Hunk and Lamce keep having eye conversations at dinner and Keith looks guilty and she is offended that she was left out. Allura finds out cause she randomly finds Kosmo and begins trying to find out how he got onto the ship in the first place and gets him a bed and some.food and water to stay in a room near hers

Shenanigans ensue

An episode that is Keith and Lance catch something that seems a lot like flu.

The healing pods can't identify what they have. It can only identify the symptoms they have, and the medical databanks on the castleship are pretty out of date.

While those two are causing chaos cause neither of them will admit that flu is knocking them on their asses and they're bored so they keep going off in the castle trying to find something to do, Coran realises he has no idea how to help treat them outside of the superficial symptoms they have and is worried if he doesn't figure it out, he could accidentally make them worse off.

He resolves eventually to accept his limitations as the person in control of the castleship, Allura is in the Black Lion at this point so Shiro has been helping out with flying the castleship and maintenance and takes a more role in doing this while Coran is busy trying to figure all of this.

After asking some allies in the Voltron coalition to check the two over, they offer him help with updating the castleships medical data and further training from other planets across the coalition.

Further help with knowing things that have been going on history wise (I've mentally decided that season 1 was the team finding the lions, and learning to fly them and eventually forming voltron, season 2 is branching out to the universe and forming allies and this is season 3 episode potential of them more regularly going out in the universe and having stronger bonds I the universe)

He'd presumed his knowledge wouldn't have been too out of date, but time went on without him and Allura in many respects.

We also in this episode discuss how Lance and Keith possibly caught something like flu and it turns out that flu evolved into existence on earth and out in the wider universe independently of each other.

Lance suggests this initially when Shiro finds him in a bathroom by a sink when he dozed off while putting on a face mask after displaying symptoms similar to Keith and is taking him to the medic bay. I headcanon that a fair few members of his family are medical doctors, and so he ended up a biology and psychology nerd. He suggests it could be like convergent evolution, like how a bunch of variations of types of animal crop up in continents independent of each other or that its maybe like crocodiles and alligators where flu came to earth via aliens or vice versa years ago and they didn't end up evolving in too different of a way.

Shiro replies to this by saying it can't be flu, Lance don't you remember how cold killed off the aliens in War of The Worlds. The alien who caught it on earth wouldve died or humans would've and we should be concerned cause you and Keith will have no immunity to whatever this is.

Lance responds with "do you base all your science off HG Wells books?" And he says touché and I stand by this as a set of lines that happen here.

I'm aware most of this is dumb but I wanted to expand on some filler episode ideas I have trapped in my head.

Lance, who isn't on ADHD meds cause he wanted to be in the Garrison so bad and due to legalities can't be on the meds and had to work really hard to pass a medical and compensates having an incredibly stringent routine he has to follow to get stuff done (or at least gives like 2 years of earnest trying before realising Iverson only let him in the class cause Keith left and kinda begins giving up a little)

Vs

Pidge who is definitely on ADHD meds cause I mean she fucking broke in and is under a false identity anyway so you know one other thing to lie about and just hides her meds with her tech while she's going there, cause frankly she's not exactly planning to be there a long time she's just there to investigate the Garrison and find out what happened to her family members

Both getting to space and having their own problems (Pidge suddenly having a lack of meds and trying to trick Coran into making a dupe and Lance who's routine is now faltering on account of being in space and a slightly different time shift and his symptoms worsening from the new stressor but is refusing to consider medication cause he believes coran and allura will have a similar policy in place) and really trying to sneak around about it for a good episode

With the resolution being that Coran absolutely knows what ADHD is cause Alteans actually have something similar and he has it and is well aware Pidge and Lance are struggling a bit and has been trying to have like an actual convo about it with them so he can sort something out for them but they keep pretending they're busy so he's having a hard time pinning them down for that talk

And in the background the episode just being about the various struggles that come with now being in space if you have conditions that require some form of support and how the team can support each other

I see a lot of fanfic about the trope of the team meeting a planet of empaths but it's always just been in the pushing Keith and Lance's relationship way but like I want an episode where they go a planet of empaths who very much revere the concept of love and are in the middle of a holiday celebrating it and the team presumes its gonna be like a valentines thing but it turns out that the celebration of every kind of positive love and explores some of the Paladins dynamics as well as exploring what would happen if you put these space traumatised weirdos on a planet where they feel pressured to make a good impression full of citizens that can just read all of their feelings.

Like Shiro really struggling and trying to not seem like he's avoiding the people reading his emotions cause he's got such a complex about not putting those feelings onto anyone he doesn't have to. He tries to get around being read and has to come to terms with the idea that sometimes there just isn't a way to constantly protect others from the things about you that might be difficult to understand and that in certain situations you may even find yourself safe to just breathe and let that worry go for a while.

Pidge kind of coming to terms with the idea that yes she loves and misses her family after she's found them out in space but finding out from the empaths that she loves the paladins now similarly, she's come to kind of love the Paladins as her found family too and how this fits into place with her family, if it fits in. Many types of people can be important to you throughout your life and feeling guilty or like you're prioritising the love of some of them over others isn't worth the stress.

Hunk kind of worrying about how much of his worry is coming across to these people and trying to hide that he's anxious, thinking he play it off to them all as like jittery excitement and finding that to avoid it passing along, he has to actually deal with it and work on it. Anxiety is difficult to come to terms with but the best way to reduce it is to find ways you can manage it, you can build up that control.

Lance having to deal with when the planet is attacked whether they can feel what he's feeling when he's trying to protect them and being so used to hiding his darker feelings that he doesn't know what to do when they're just on display regardless of whether he wants them to be and worrying that it'll make them distrust him for feeling that way. Sometimes it's inevitable that you'll have darker thoughts, but they don't make up all you are, and having them does not make you scary or incapable of relating to others.

And yes some Keith having feelings for Lance and not knowing how to cope with it because to him it just feels so heavy and worrying to carry around in their situation and having one of the inhabitants reassure him that yes it can be heavy, but some times you can just enjoy love as a good feeling you can have about a good person and that if he wishes for right now, than that's all it has to be.

I also just love the idea that initially they're all like "yeah I mean it's not telepathy what harm could it do" but internally they're all shitting themselves with nerves

Some pidge angst in the form of an episode that could draw parallels between Honerva and Pidge as the team get their hands some material that could be the key to helping her improve the scanning or something like that and it begins to affect Pidge after a while

The others try to suggest she back off from it but because she's invested herself in the idea that it could help her get her family quicker, she keeps going

The end of the episode showing that while Honerva eventually went to far and it pushed her past the point of no return because she was either encouraged by those she cared about to continue it despite the detriment to herself or they wouldn't speak up or do much outside of condemn her for the outcome, Pidge with the teams help is able to step away because they were quick to notice when it was harming her and were consistent in trying to help her realise what the material was doing.
