A calm evening with everybody pretty much drinking something different, and I need to thank Fred for giving me this Dark Seas Russian Imperial Stout from Mission Brewery (San Diego, CA) a couple weeks back. Now, Fred isn’t much of a Stout drinker, and apparently neither are his usual company of visiting friends, so he simply gave me this bottle which had sat untouched in his fridge for he didn’t know how long. And what a gift it was, WOW, so smooth and so rich double chocolate malty delicious, not to mention all the rest of the stout necessities. This 9.8 ABV RIS was so easy and pleasing to drink, I was actually looking for more of these unwanted (WANTED!) babies around and under the table even though I knew I was crazy mad to do so.
