It's one thing to happen upon a magnificent church in the middle of a metropolis, it's another when they are located 35km from the coast and at 4,000 ft elevation in the @SierradelaGiganta mountains #missionsanjavier #1699 carved from the stone in situ #moorish and #spanish influenced, but it also incorporates decorative elements from the #Cochimi people who built the impressive and beautiful compound.
