Who do you think is/was the best Giselle?

Oh god, this is a hard question. I think my mind immediately goes to Natalia Bessmertnova, Galina Ulanova, Svetlana Zakharova, and Viktoria Tereshkina. I don’t think I can choose from those four, but the top two would be Galina Ulanova and Natalia Bessmertnova.

I also really like Marianela Nunez as Giselle and I think Hee Seo would be a very pretty Giselle based on small snippets I’ve seen.

What do you think of Misa Kuranaga?

I think her turns are fantastic and she’s great at adding in little details and touches. In her Odile variation one thing that I really love is that when she does the opening turn sequence as she lands the attitude turns she flexes her wrists to give the more “evil” hands. That is a tiny detail but it gives such a different feel that that normally cheery sounding variation that I like very much! She has (at least to my untrained eye lol) really good technique in general and is a solid dancer. Will I search out videos of her to watch? Probably not. But I wouldn’t be mad at all if one popped up on my YouTube recommendations.

Yeaaah, she’s definitely not knowledgeable about nutrition whatsoever. I probably should find a new therapist, because my psychiatrist also wants me doing DBT rather than mainly talk therapy...Fuck.
