(Wrote these out the other day)
Are there any shows/series/whatever you’re following right now?
I just powerhoused through Game of Thrones *Sobs on the floor* and Gravity Falls! I have so many series to catch up on on my list D8;
If you could master any skill overnight, what would it to be?
I’m learning animation right now, but I would really want to master Sewing! So I can have that down and make my own shit all the time, and then actually spend time on learning animation and artwork and stuff.
When you were a kid, how did you answer “what do you wanna be when you grow up?”
There was a mixture of Vet, Fighter Pilot, and Artist :| LOL
What’s your happiest memory from the past week?
Going out with my friends at school uwu!! I’ve had such a freaking blast this week, from stuffing our faces, to playing ssbbrawl!!
Do you have a really old piece of clothing you just can’t seem to get rid of?
I hold onto shit forever. OTL I have this jacket from my past life still around. I still have a shirt from middle school too :|
What’s the last thing you ate?
Home made chocolate chip cookies. Which are my favorite in the entire world.
Do you collect anything?
I like to collect dolls, stuffed animals, and animal backpacks. Dolls like animators disney dolls, monster high, and more. Stuffed animals like my giant giraffe and alligator body pillow! And then so far I have a giraffe, shark, and kangaroo backpack.
When you were a kid did you have chalk boards or dry erase boards at school?
chalk for a loooooong time. I love dry erase, cant scratch your nails down those!!
Recommend a song you like right now!
Lost at Sea by Zedd or Satellite by Oceanlab
How many siblings do you have, if any?
One older sister. Seven years apart :| Lol But I have friends that are like sisters to me uwu!
Are you allergic to anything?
Technically I’m allergic to kiwi and sunscreen….ha..haha…I have to be sooooo careful around sunscreen, but they’ve been making sensitive types lately so I don’t have to get skin cancer yaaaay!
-------
Now the questions you have to answer 8)
1. What’s on your agenda today?
2. How do you sleep? (With a stuffed animal? No blankets? do you need your pillows to be in a certain position?)
3. What’d you have for dinner?
4. What’s something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t yet?
5. Current goal(s) in life?
6. What kind of kid where you?
7. Do you live with anyone right now?
8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
9. Do you have pets? What are there names and personalities? (If you don’t have pets, would you want one?)
10. Do you stop and smell the roses, or are you always on the go?
11. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Sorry if you're tagged a million times D8
How do you draw without shaky lines? Even with the highest stabilizer setting, I really bad at keeping lines clean... Also do you have a tablet to recommend?
Hmm… My stabilizer is set to 3, which is probably default. I like to have the lines appear with as little delay as possible, accurately portraying how my hand moves. To keep a line smooth, I honestly just draw it with a quick stroke. I do often encounter times when I want to draw a very particular shape, and it’s not the right shape when I draw it too fast… yet if I draw it slowly, my hand is too shaky. My solution for those moments is simply to draw and undo and re-draw the accursed line over and over at different speeds, until I’ve found the perfect balance of swift smoothness and slow careful contouring, at which point the line is decently smooth but still shaped close enough to as accurate as I want it. That being said, I think it helps to have patience, be a bit of a perfectionist, and know exactly what shape you want to draw. I also just try to draw on big canvases, so that when I shrink them down for displaying/sharing, the lines look smoother than they are, haha;;
I don’t have experience with a big variety of tablets, so I can’t say my recommendation is the most well-informed… My first tablets were both Graphires, I forget which exact models, but they’re a discontinued line of Wacom tablets. I liked them well enough, but they both broke after a while, particularly the pens. I now use a Wacom Intuos4. I use the small, which is already bigger than those two Graphires were. I really like it for the customizable buttons. It’s served me for like… I don’t even know, five years maybe? More? And it still works perfectly. I’m really fond of it! Its USB cord did crap out on me though, but it’s a generic mini USB and thus was easy to replace. It came with enough spare nibs to last me this long. Other than that, I haven’t had to buy or replace anything or ever have it repaired. …Not to jinx it. One drawback—when you first get a new one, the surface will actually wear down your nibs heavily, so you’ll HAVE to change them, otherwise it could scratch your surface. By the time you wear through like three nibs, though, the surface should be smooth enough that it will stop wearing your nibs almost entirely. You’ll be able to tell at that time because the surface will be visibly smooth and shiny in the middle where you draw on it most. So now I haven’t had to change nibs in like two or three years!
Sadly, Intuos4 is not available new from Wacom anymore. I suppose Intuos Pro is the most similar thing they have now… Or, buying them from a third party, or used, is also an option. Wacom is kinda the industry giant, but honestly I think that people are coming up with MUCH cheaper, yet still highly effective tablets out there… and if I were going to get a new one, I would go for one of those. For example, this Monoprice tablet that was going around on tumblr for a while! (I link a review because I obviously haven't tried that one myself.)
Sorry for being long-winded, but I hope that helps at all! Best of luck! xoxo
