This right here is why I run. I have no idea who this guy is. Never seen him before this past Sunday. I went out and ran the Missoula Half Marathon and towards that last quarter mile, we each increasing the speed. Kept up with each other and pushed each other to a strong finished. Once we hit that 13 mile mark, we looked at each other and knew; it was going to be a fun finish. We took off, progressively getting faster the closer we got. We were in a dead on sprint right up to the line. This picture captures that moment perfectly. We weren't trying to put each other down by saying one of us was better than the other. We just ran 13 miles and decided to sprint to the finish. A little friendly competition it you will. After the finished we shared a laugh and had a quick handshake and bro hug. Laughed about how good that felt and and how fun it was to end the race in a deadlock sprint. Running is a sport and activity that brings people together and creates a family. We all know what it's like and understand what we're doing. We may not know the exact reason we run, but we definitely look out for one another and share laughs because we can relate. These are the moments a live for. Sharing a laugh with another runner. Try it sometime. You'll be surprised by the friends you make along the way 😊 #run #running #missoulamarathon #rungameface #makeitcount #findgreatness #laugh #lovewhatyoudo #halfmarathon #halffanatics #marathonmaniacs
