Prompt: Origins (How Cody met Obi-Wan Kenobi)

Thanks to @jate-kara for this event! It has been a lot of fun so far and I have seen some great fics and artwork!

Inspiration for this came from the gif set I posted earlier, particularly:

CC-2224 found himself in battle before he even met the 212th’s general.

Blaster bolts stung the air.

Mortars whistled high into the air before dropping onto his brothers.

“Where’s the general?” Boil shouted. “You seen him?”

Before C-2224 could respond, a figure dropped onto the bridge, deflecting blaster bolts and mortal shells with his lightsaber. He turned and CC-2224 found himself staring into a face.

“Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, at your service, Commander...”

“Cody, sir.”

“Well, Commander Cody, let’s teach these droids a lesson.”

“Yes, sir.”

Cody had not anticipated their first meeting happening during battle.

Somehow, though, it made sense.

I am very sorry people have felt the need to tell you that about your writing, and I can assure you most of them are wrong. But I never did that personally - to you or anyone else - and you said the practice upset you, so why are you doing it to me and others? To upset us too? That...doesn't seem very fair either. 

Doing that to the people who had done it to you is one thing. Doing it to complete strangers who know nothing of that is a completely different thing.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it up to that point, you made it sound like you didn't, when you said the ending had 'ruined it for you.'

I didn't tag it specifically 'slash' no, but I made it quite clear in the general info before the story what pairing would be involved, and then in the tags also said at least two different titles for that ship.

I respect your opinion on the matter, even if I don't like how you let it be known. Please respect my response to it. I hope no one says those kinds of things about your writing ever again, sugar.

(and if you ever need someone to talk about others attacking your writing with, I'm still here and am quite willing to listen. My inbox is always open, even if you don't follow me.)

I will compliment your writing, because I am a decent sort and try to support my fellow writers. You are a decent writer and this was a very interesting piece. But the OOC nature of the Tim/Damian final moments absolutely ruined my enjoyment. Sorry.

Oh, well, um. I'll try harder next time I ever write timdami as a vaguely romantic thing. Sorry you feel that way. Sorry I upset you. =/

{Edit - Wait, were you upset because there was a vaguely romantic thing between Tim and Damian?? Because if that's the case, I made it quite clear that's what it was before the Read More, so that kind of just makes your comment rude and a little uncalled for.}

8. Do you actually like when people “Ask” or “Submit” you things, or would you prefer if only “friends” did that? I love to hear from people. I love making friends. I love talking. I always hope that someone will post things in my ask box and yet no one does.

10. Do you sing in the car? Sometimes. Depends on the song

I don't think I would. I like my name.

I joined Tumblr some time last year. I'm still not sure why. I have an addiction that cuts into writing and reading. And work.

I have one of a birthday party for me when I was really little. There are a few others. I think my earliest is like 3 years old. Maybe 2. I'm not sure.

4. What is your favourite cereal?

Something tasty! Like cocoa pebbles.

5. If you could have one superpower (and you could turn it off and on when desired), what would you choose?

Telepathy.

6. Please tell me one thing you love about yourself.

My sarcasm. (Even though not everyone gets it)

I wouldn't want to know. It's such a struggle to walk into the unknown but at the same time, I love the adventure and I know no matter what all things will work out in the end. There is nothing I can't handle.

Only one? It's hard to narrow it down. I'll just say drivers for right now.

Anywhere in Europe I'd love to go to.

11. If you could do anything, without the fear of failure, what would you do?

I don't like to share this because it's more of a goal that I'm keeping to myself for the time being.
