A few minutes later, they were walking to the local dollar store while Miss explained the concept of pools and pool floats to DeVoid, and she didn’t even mind that she was wearing her ugly Burger Bin shirt.  It was turning out to be a perfect encounter anyway.

And the pool noodles looked ridiculous, but they worked.  Lady DeVoid was starting to think that there wasn't any problem on this stupid planet that Miss didn't have an answer for.
