So here's the finished piece. It's always difficult deciding when something is done as you could keep glazing layers forever. I've added some tears, and the only way I can describe the glazing is that it's similar to contouring in makeup. It's really subtle shades and lighting differences. Also the whole piece was stained with a watered down ochre. It kind of ages and creates a more uniformed finish. This is an A4 piece to give some idea of scale and it's completely painted.
