What would a courtship between Redson and Chenxia be like? I asked for completely academic reasons

The way I looked at this question like an exam’s most hard to solve math problem and then proceeded to try and analyze it. I may be sleep deprived.

Anyways courting between them doesn’t happen until they’re well into their young adults years (hand holding and hugging doesn’t count and neither does the cheeky comments and lighthearted teasing between them) and Red Son initiates it, surprisingly. There’s flowers, gifts and poems exchanged and it’s mostly from Red Son’s side as he is trying and failing to be subtle and not seem like a dumb man in love with his sparring friend COUGHS

Chenxia starts handing him gifts and her own small tokens of affection, taking careful notes of Red Son’s reactions and adjusting accordingly so she can make him choke on nothing with a single comment or specific form of PDA even though they’re not in public (but Red Son SAYS it’s PDA and they should be more careful)

Goes on for years before they settle down somewhat and decide to become a couple
