OH YES! I really needed something like THIS!!! But... can I ask you something? Well, as all of us know, Noriaki´s nickname is non-tan, but I want to know why? Because all I know is that he was given that nickname in a radio show, but I dont know why. Can you help me? PD: I will definitive FOLLOW ♥
It is a little hard to explain but it is in this video at about 1:20 or so.
The translation in the video with the kanji I believe they are referring to, but I could be wrong so if any other followers would like to explain this please do:
Junko Takeuchi: People, you know how the kanji for “uni” (雲丹) is written?
Nontan: Uni? Eh…combination of the kanji “kumo” (雲)…
Junko Takeuchi: “Kumo” (雲) then the “tan” (丹)from “jintan” (仁丹). Shortened - Untan”.
And then she goes straight to Untan to Nontan, which I assume is Noriaki + Untan.
But from this transcript here they say ”maybe derived from shortening ‘noriaki’ to ‘no,’ add ‘n’ for endearment and a suffix -tan, which is a childish way of saying ‘chan.’”
Hopes this helps a little.
