In short, Rabbit-sama is a reincarnated August
Very small, I know, but check this out
I think it’s interesting that Misumi said Child of man to Rabbit-sama while he was trying to lure him in. Shortly after, it’s revealed that Rabbit-sama has been looking for their siblings in the mountains, which if we’re going with Rabbit-sama being a reincarnation of August, then he wouldn’t really have his memories of before so the mountains could be reminding him of the cliff.
There’s the clear connection that Misumi and Chikage have with Rabbit-sama where they lost their families, which was also out of their control. And all three of them hope to one day see their family again.
Wishing on the moon huh...
The moon is often associated with gekka
And it can’t be a coincidence that Chikage and Hisoka are both in this event story along with the first mention of another agent from the Organization.

Now, August supposedly died on that cliff on a full moon and Rabbit-sama showed up on a full moon.
Rabbit-sama was looking for their siblings this whole time and it’s rather interesting that the mask reminded them of their siblings, which we all know that Chikage likes rabbits whether he admits it or not. Also, Rabbit-sama is a pretty mischievous little guy which we know August is too, or rather it’s hinted at, and August would totally run around making people chase him just for a laugh gjdkflghjfdkl
This is a complete mess and I am way too lazy to make it organized, but the thoughts are there and I hope it makes sense ghjfdklhjfdk
