Going back to the start || Brooke & Mitchell
It had been so very weird to see Mitchell again, it hurt Brooke's heart to be honest. Yes, she knew that he had been around but they never made contact until now. Or at least she thought he was still around. But seeing him face to face, that had done it for Brooke. She knew from the moment that she saw him face to face that she still loved him. It was just something that would never change. Mitchell Ryder, was Imogen's biological father and Brooke's first love. Everything came back to the blonde at once, from the moment they met, to the moment they had that stupid fight that changed everything. She should have phoned him and told him that she was pregnant but she felt so alone. Brooke had pushed everyone away not just Mitchell. Truth was, she wasn't exactly in the best shape at the time, she wasn't exactly in the best frame of mind either. In fact she had more problems back then and they were slowly starting to surface again since Imogen found out. And now seeing Mitchell again, that wasn't going to help her at all.
After he left, her mind was filled of thoughts about him, the what if's came back. What if she had told him about Imogen from the start? What if they had been together when Brooke what she did? What if he found her in that treatment facility? What if Brooke never did what she did? All of thoughts ran through her head. Would they be that happy go lucky family? Would Mitch and her had gotten married? She couldn't help but allow herself to think those thoughts especially with him involved. When she finally got home well more like to Haley's house, she slipped in quietly, the family was sleeping and Brooke didn't want to disturb them, she worked late hours and they all knew this. Getting changed, she laid down on the couch that she was currently calling her bed, sighing a little bit. Thoughts of Imogen and Mitchell clouded her mind. Finally falling asleep moments later, dreaming of the what if's and what could have been's.
Waking up before noon, she glanced at the clock. Noticing that no one was home, thats when Brooke took this time to take a shower and get ready. Leaving a note for Haley, stating that she was meeting with someone, she had made the decision to skip out on her medication once again. Making her way out to her car, she glanced at the yellow bug and sighed. This wasn't really her car, hell it wasn't Mitch's either. She had no idea who the original owner was. Getting in, she started it, driving down to the beach. There was a certain spot that they would meet at. It was their spot because no one would go to that spot. Parking a couple of miles away, she walked the rest of the way. This was their thing, they would always park away from where they were meeting. Shoving her hands into her pockets, she glanced out at the water. Sighing a little bit, she wasn't expecting him to do what he use to do which was come up behind her and put his arms around her. She knew things were different and they needed to talk about everything. Brooke continued to look at the water as she waited.
