“Mitchell, you said this movie wasn’t scary!”, I protested, flicking a handful of popcorn at my roommate.
“It isn’t scary!”, he said, picking popcorn out of his hair – he deserved it.
“Well, it scared me!”, I replied, crossing my arms across my chest.
“You’re so cute!”, he said, and patted my head like I was a dog. “I’m going to get more popcorn, since you threw it all at me”, he said, and got up and went into the kitchen.
I took a seat back on the couch, and grabbed the TV remote, pausing the movie. I wasn’t even sure what the movie was called, but it was unbearably gory, with constant jumpscares and ridiculous suspenseful music. It felt like every couple seconds someone was jumping out behind someone and stabbing them, or something like that.
Mitchell walked back in with a bowl of popcorn in hand, and sat down next to me. “Want some popcorn?”, he asked, and proceeded to throw a piece at me.
“Mitchell! Stop it!”, I demanded, and threw popcorn back at him. He proceeded to dump the entire bowl on my head.
“Are you kidding me?! That’s such a waste!”, I exclaimed.
The movie was completely forgotten, as we spent the next 20 minutes cleaning up the popcorn mess.
After it had all been cleaned up, the room returned to it’s normal state, we both took our seats on the couch and decided to finish the movie.
Mitchell turned off the movie, it was finally over.
“Are you okay?”, he asked, noticing that I hadn’t moved a muscle from my current position.
“Yeah…just kinda freaked out, okay, super freaked out”, I confessed.
“Aww, Beeee”, Mitchell cooed, and pulled me into a hug.
“Do you want to watch something like, not scary, to calm you down?”, he whispered into my shoulder, without releasing me from the hug.
“Umm…depends what it is. I’d rather just talk to you”, I said shyly.
“Okay, umm…what do you want to talk about?” Mitchell said, pulling out of the hug, but not letting go of my arm.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Mitchell stopped me by pressing his lips against mine.
“I suck at giving advice…hopefully that was a decent alternative to talking”, he said, and gave his typical cheeky smile.
“It certainly was”, I assured him, before closing the gap between us once again.
omfg i had way too much fun writing this and its kinda short but i hope it’s still acceptable. hopefully i satisfied your feels to the necessary extent!!
