When I was out in Eastern Oregon a few weeks ago, I ended up in Mitchell, Oregon the smallest, cutest, quirkiest town I have ever rolled into. I went there because I wasn’t watching my gas tank (never did that before) and I went out to the Painted Hills. When I arrived, I realized I was just a bit too low on gas to make it to Prineville (so stupid!) There isn’t one Gas station on the way back. The closest town was Mitchell and I saw signs that they had gas there. When I arrived, they kinda-sorta have two gas stations, but by 5:00 on Thursday they were both closed. The town was completely closed and empty except the General Store. This really nice guy working there made some calls for me to see if one of the gas station owners could be convinced to open up for me...no answer. So he found a jug of gasoline with about an extra gallon or two in it...it was just enough to get me back to Prineville. He really saved my whole trip! 🙏🏻 . . I could not resist to get a few snaps of this great little town before I left. Swipe to see one of the gas stations and more. I love the Blue dance place! He told me the weather can be bad enough there that they only have school 4 days a week....apparently all the school staff (and maybe the gas attendant ) were in dance place! I love Oregon. . . As I left, I turned on my music and the first song that came up was by a local artist @annativel called “Grace and Gasoline”. “Maybe that is just what you need, to find a little Grace and....some Gasoline.” (I kid you not.) ❤️ . . . #iloveoregon #i❤️oregon #mitchelloregon #oregon #easternoregon #easternoregonlife #traveloregon #pioneertown #buildings #gasstation #gasoline #graceandsomegasoline #annativel (at Mitchell, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bttc2R7BVZ7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=rgj5h63jtcw7
