She was a young teenager when it happened. Her first crush - her first and perhaps one of few romantic feelings - was directed towards a girl, only a little older than Michelle physically, who worked in the local market. They had sparked a friendship, some sort of connection between them, and began to meet in secret whenever they could.
One thing led to another, and they ended up semi-dating for a while. Things ended soon after the kiss, when the girl moved away, and Michelle never saw her again.
