A black portal opened up in the Seireitei, like some otherworldly creature opening its one, person-sized mouth. Its appearance was hardly inviting, just looking like a inky disk in the sky with no indicator of what was on the other side. For a few, peaceful seconds, it simply hung there in wait.
And then suddenly, it spat. A gunshot sound went of as horned figure flailed through the air like a missile. The portal vanished almost instantly, but it had been kind enough to aim its delivery downwards, speeding towards the ground and screaming like a little girl the whole way down. Oh, he’s so dead! He’s gonna splat right into a building! There’s one now, and-- Gah, just barely sailed over it! Hey, is that water--
