I know you already did a Soobin barista au but hear me out…
Soobin falling for a regular would be the most adorably clumsy thing in the world. He memorized your order, so every time he sees you coming in, it’s already done and waiting for you. He finds any excuse to try and connect with you in hopes of finding a reason to hang out with you outside of his job. Swears he sees stars when you ask him if you could keep in touch with him (whether that’s by Instagram, snap, his number etc.). The poor boy stumbles over his words and nearly drops his phone in someone’s drink when trying to hand it to you. He already felt over the moon to have you want to reach out to him, so imagine how he feels when he sees your text asking to hang out that night.
Yeonjun is already popular with the customers. He knows how to charm anyone and it becomes a running joke between you two that he is doing it to steal some extra tips from the old ladies that fawn over him. Anytime you order and he pulls out that award winning smirk of his, you roll your eyes and joke about who he’s not getting an extra few cents out of you, even though he swears up and down that he isn’t trying to do that. This is a pattern that keeps up until one day he writes his number down on the sleeve of your cup with a little note saying “Hopefully taking this outside of work will prove I’m not fishing for tips?”
Beomgyu ended up falling for you by complete accident if he was being honest. He wanted to get out of working, so he just started yapping to the nearest customer and claimed he was “building connections”. It just so happened that the customer he chose to talk to was pretty and funny. He always seemed to “accidentally” mess up a drink when you’re around , but he can’t just waste it! Why don’t you have it for free? It’d be a waste otherwise. His yapper-y still is on going with you , but now it isn’t JUST to get out of work. One day during his rambles, he ends up asking you out and the rest ends up becoming history.
Taehyun acts cool about it, or at least he thinks he does. “Conveniently” runs into you on his days off when he decides that he was going to study in his cafe. You two end up falling into the habit of studying with each other on his days off and him sitting with you on his breaks during work. The both of you quietly giggling and chatting amongst yourselves. His co-workers get lowkey freaked out at how fast his demeanor changes when you walk into the cafe. To anyone outside of you two, it was the most obvious thing in the world that this boy was head over heels. It was only a matter of time before you two took it outside of the cafe and started hanging out for real on your own time.
Kai, sweet Kai, who always makes sure to write you a cute little note or drawing on your cup anytime you order. He is always so attentive to your moods that he goes out of his way to make sure your day gets better when it’s not the best. Even if his day isn’t going the best, seeing that he put a smile on your face changes it all. He goes out of his way to always compliment you in hopes of starting a conversation (it always works. I mean, a cute barista complimenting you? You’d be crazy to not keep talking to the guys.) One day, you walk in only to see him getting scolded by his manager with an embarrassed expression. Turns out he may or may not have started giving you his employee discount. After seeing that, you decided what better way to make it for getting him in trouble than to treat him to dinner or lunch? After all, he goes out his way to make you happy, you thought that you should do the same for him.
