↳ ✽ - - - Standing on the bridge overlooking a canal, undivided attention was given solely to the water below, crystalline and pure; reflecting the blue sky above. Petals dotted the surface of the water and petite body leaned forward on tiptoe for a better look, fingers curling into the hem of her armored skirt. But unbeknownst to her, there was a creature with the utmost confidence, evident in it’s fluid motion, heading towards her with purpose and a goal. Hitting fragile ribs and burrowing itself into her clothes, a loud squeak of surprise undoubtedly escaped her, but she didn’t stay frightened for long. There was no threat. No need for fear. It appeared to be… whirring in concern? Were those… tears? Was that normal behavior?
It flew frantically in front of her, less composed in it’s flying pattern than it had been before, as if trying to tell her something. Grey eyes lit up in wonder, her fascination etched so clearly into pale features- from presence alone she could sense it was a special creation composed of an interesting mixture of magic and science. Soon she managed to calm herself more completely and the reality of what she was confronted with set in. It stirred a motherly response in her.
❝…You’re quite the strange one, aren’t you? There’s nothing like you in my world.❞ Sera’s brows knitted in concern, ❝Are you lost? There must be something I can I do to help… You're safe. Don't worry.❞
Shoulders falling, muscles relaxed, Sera tilted her head and with hesitant, quivering fingertips, she cupped the small winged being in her palms. In an effort to calm it down, her soft voice soon became a record of soothing words and when she ran out of words to say, she resorted to humming her prayer.
