I was so giddy when Chaos Rising unexpectedly bumped into Alliances. Alliances came out in 2018, and Chaos Rising in 2020. One book, and two years later, we got to see that Timothy Zahn had everything perfectly planned and he just made us wait for something we didn't know we were waiting for, which is not unlike his devious son. If only the rest of this franchise could be so coordinated!
