Day before flight back to Moku O Keawe + marveling at the diversity (literally) of Jackson Heights + reminder of the work ahead at home. Last week as Kilauea awakened, I flew out to Omega Institute as a full scholarship participant to meet with Holistic Centers Leaders around the world to exchange best practices + strategies on inclusion + diversity at our Centers. What a blessing to be in the supportive company of Center Leaders from Esalen, Breitenbush + Harbin who offered emotional support + invaluable strategies on post-disaster recovery + fundraising. Additional blessings came in the form of other Centers offering refuge + job opportunities at Centers around the world. I communicated with Kalanihonua staff leadership, board, + stewards daily to coordinate evacuation + to identify a remote operations site to imua. I asked Board + senior staff if i should head back early + was advised to get as much as I can from this divinely timed conference 5,000 miles away from home. Supreme gratitude to Holistic Centers ‘Ohana for your support + advisement + Kalanihonua staff + board for the blessings and permission to allow me to serve remotely. I look forward to reconnecting very soon + to all the hugs. There are blessings + gifts in all of this. We humbly surrender to Tutu Pele’s will. #mixedblessings #imua #mālamaāina #mālamaohana (at Queens, New York)

Scouting Mission: Kirena and Sasha (CLOSED)
Fort Draug.
Seated in the northlands of Ylisse, this imposing fortress stands as a colossal monument to the strength of the Knights of Ylisse- and their leader, General Bruno.
Bruno sat behind a stately desk- a mountain of a man scribbling with a quill that looked almost comically small in his hands. He was writing- whittling away the moments with a bit of work until his 'guests' arrived-
Knock, knock.
"Enter." He called- and the door opened to reveal a woman- clad in heavy armor, a sword buckled at her side and a shield grasped firmly in her hand. At once, she stood at attention- her scarred face set into a firm, permanent stare as she saluted.
"Lieutenant Sasha, responding to your summons, sir."
...Bruno had to fight the urge to squee at that.
EEEEEEEE MY BABY GIRL IS SO CUUUUUTE WHEN SHE ACTS ALL SOLDIER-Y~
He coughed to mask it- and looked at her.
"At ease...we're still waiting on someone."
Sasha's expression turned to one of confusion- and she put on a puzzled frown.
"Who?"
"Oh- our newest recruit. Remember?"
"Oh, yes...Kirena, wasn't it?"
"It seems a shame to fight it and not get anything."
[♞] Sami turned around, looking Kirena over with a slight amount of confusion.
"But that's not the p-point! We can't expect every single one of those we fight to be holding something we could take. A-and we're not even fighting for treasure! A-at least... I'm n-not..."
The pegasus knight sighed, looking down at the floor.
"D-does that make me strange, o-or something...?"
" My lies aren't working anymore."
"No, they’re not, Kirena."
Sami’s voice was stern as she looked over the other’s body, grimacing nigh-constantly as she saw the numerous scars and bruises on her best friend’s skin.
"… How long has she been doing this to you…?"
