2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, butreally want to?

I don’t know if this really counts as a trope, but I havealways wanted to write a sports swap fic. Especially since I played soccer for11 years and am still Very passionate about it, I think writing either an originalwork about soccer or a fic where the characters are soccer players would bereally fun!

3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?

I’m pretty much open to anything, really! I’m very reluctantto try anything nsfw though because I don’t really know how to write that atall haha

4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care toshare one of them?

Oh gosh I have so many wips right now, but really I havefour main ones. I’ve been working on a very long iwaoi growing up/falling inlove fic since October, and I’m hoping to finish that up within the next fewweeks. Otherwise, the one I’m probably the closest to being done with is a touarafake dating au that I am Very excited about !!

5. Share one of your strengths.

I think I’m good at writing dialogue! I really enjoy writinginteractions between characters, especially banter, and people have told mebefore that I write good dialogue and very in-character interactions.

6. Share one of your weaknesses.

I honestly wish I had better word choice. Sometimes I feelas if I use very similar words, or use repetition of the same words often. Ialso wish I had a better flow with my style. I think simple and choppiness/informaland conversational tone is very much a part of my style, but sometimes it feelsvery ?? strange to me, I can’t really explain it. I wish I had a more poeticand flowing way of writing sometimes, and have been trying to get better atthat.

7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of proseyou’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

The first memory of him that Arakita does haveis from when he’s fifteen, alone and bitter, angry and against the world. Hedoesn’t care, doesn’t want to, yet simultaneously has a hope in the furthestcorners of his mind that maybe someone will reach out, that maybe someone willcare enough to pull him out of the darkness, to make the effort to reach forhim.

As if some sort of answer, he meets Fukutomi.Arakita doesn’t like him at first, doesn’t want to bring himself to, eventhough Fukutomi is the one who gave him a reason, a new purpose after Arakitadidn’t think he had one anymore once baseball had been taken from him.

But theinitial conviction to dislike Fukutomi wavers and soon after fades altogether.In its place comes friendship, and later, love. A feeling Arakitasimultaneously welcomes yet makes him want to, if possible, kick himself in theass for feeling in the first place.

Arakita always remembersfirst falling in love with Fukutomi, the feeling of warmth and belonging thatdoes not come initially, but slowly washes over him after spending timetogether and getting to know one another.

He falls in love with everypart of him, the determination in his eyes, the blunt yet meaningful and goodintentioned way he speaks, the way he can draw others in, pull them up withoutreally having to try, the awkward but earnest—endearing, even—habits andactions. All of the pieces of him that Arakita grows to know and understand arethe ones he finds draw out the overwhelming feelings of admiration and respect,fondness and love.

Maybe this is it, maybethis is right, he thinks when Fukutomi kisses him after a race, curls his fingersin Arakita’s hair and holds onto him, looks at him like he’s the only thingthat matters, like them, together, is all he cares about.

Maybe with Fukutomi he’ssupposed to feel like this. Whole. Complete.

Mmm this is actually from a wip that I have not posted yet besides some tiny snippets here and on twit,but it is my favorite snippet from what I have written in this fic (and from a lot of writing I have done in more recent months.) It’s afukuara reincarnation au !! I reallylike this snippet because I think it has a decent flow. I like the kindof condensed feel of it, yet think it still gets the point/feelings + emotionacross.
