the yellow stuff in the watercolor post is masking fluid, you can paint it on and let it dry and then rub it off afterwards to protect stuff beneath it from getting painted over.

yeah! like, i know that realistically, it was just a fan casting that was never going to actually happen, but the fan casting was just so good, it made me actually want to see that adaption, and then when we didn’t get that, it was just kind of like... ehh what’s the point

oh my gosh, exciting!! you should watch it if you get the chance!! it is, imo, brendan fraser’s best work (or at least my favorite) also rachel weiss is just 10/10 beautiful wonderful. it is an excellent film for what it is, and what it is is a love letter-slash-parody of classic monster movies (and the karloff mummy in particular I think). from what I’ve heard, its portrayal of archaeology in the 1920s is actually pretty accurate? 

but mostly it’s just fun. rachel weiss reads ancient egyptian and brendan fraser and I both swoon, also john hannah is there as one of the best comic relief characters because he actually has, like, depth of character.
