“Heading out!” Jia called out to her parents who were either still sleeping or woke up because of her loud voice inside their room. Regardless, the young girl did not wait for their response, closed their room door, and left her home. Mornings when the sun hadn’t risen yet and the morning cool air seeped through her light clothing were mornings that Jia would rather die than pass up. Morning like those where the ones she thrived from, being the first ahead of the sun, rising first and living first.
Jia is all about living and taking chances. There was no origin of when she began to have those types of ideals, it was as if the drive to move on was embedded in her already, growing bigger along with her. She drove her family crazy with her spontaneous ways, but they still let her do what she wanted. Jia was a free spirit from the start and there were none hat could really match her stamina, but it was until she met Qian where all of that changed.
Jia met Qian in one of these same mornings and she was the first person Jia had seen in such morning. It was strange for her, but Jia couldn’t be any happier. She approached Qian with confidence and was taken aback of how similar they were. They were both fearless and upfront. They would get each other and connect in a personal level. Jia grew so close to Qian that she couldn’t imagine her life without her. So many promises and future plans were made that Jia promised to accomplish with her.
“Friends forever?”

“Qian!!!” Jia screamed in front of her friend’s house, her hands close to her mouth. The situation had always been similar. It was either Jia screaming out Qian’s name or vise-versa. They were similar with that as well.
She placed her hands on her hips, tapping her foot on the dirt impatiently. Patience was never her strong point and her family worried that it never would be. Her parents would always tell her to ‘calm down’ or to ‘slow down,’ but Jia did not have the strength to do any of those things. Moving is what she was best at and that’s how she wanted to keep it.
“Hurry up, we have to beat the sun before it rises, remember!?”
