I adore my new gym!! I can totally feel a new era of actually working out coming on which feels incredible. Yesterday I went to yoga with a friend (with new yoga leggings hence the mirror selfie!) and then today I watched hgtv (because who doesn’t love a gym having cable!) and worked out on the elliptical for 30 minutes!
The other day my yoga teacher said something about how each day we have the potential to live 360 degrees of our lives while most of us, between work, family things, and stress, only live maybe 150 degrees of our lives. She noted how just by showing up, being present, and giving things like yoga, a new gym routine, or going on a walk in nature we allow ourselves to push on that 150 degree boundary and maybe just by going to yoga once, we move our boundary to 151 or 155 depending on how our practice goes.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what degree of my life I think I live on average, and I haven’t come up with an answer yet, but I’ll work on it. I also realized how incredibly productive I feel, and how much less intimidating the world feels after I spend an hour pushing my self, away from distraction.
Basically, I’m really hoping to make yoga a 1-2x a week thing because I think it may really help me. Any suggestions for how to keep up the momentum and keep going??
Also, @virerevita, I miss you! Come gym with me!!
