Very few members of the Black Dragon have a clean past. Tasia is by no means an exception, and that’s something she would always admit.

Once a quite known assassin for hire, while Tasia did have certain morals and limits to what she would do (such as never hurting children or teenagers), there was no denying she had too much blood in her hands for anyone to want to get close to her, unless they wanted her services. She was deadly and effective, which allowed her to be contracted by members of the most important criminal factions throughout the world so she could get them rid of some rivals. That kind of life ended up turning on her when she was sent after the wrong target.

One of her clients hired her to kill a rival criminal boss associated with the Golden Dragon. It was by far the most difficult mission in her life, given that said criminal boss was usually accompanied by some Golden Dragon soldiers as bodyguards, but in the end she succeeded, killing the criminal boss and some of those soldiers. That made Tasia be recognized as a direct threat to the Golden Dragon, who started going after her in order to eliminate her.

Tasia had to live on the run for quite some time. There was nowhere on the planet where she could go without eventually being found by the most dangerous criminal clan on Earth and having to run away again. She was running out of options, and one particular time, after being found by Golden Dragon soldiers in one of her hideouts, it seemed like she had no way to escape and her life was about to finish there… if it hadn’t been by the intervention of members of the Red Dragon, who had discovered the activity of the Golden Dragon in the area and went to confront them. Tasia fought alongside the Red Dragon soldiers, forcing the Golden Dragon to retreat.

Tasia knew that, if she remained alone, it would be just a matter of time for the Golden Dragon to find her again to finish the job, so she offered the Red Dragon her services in exchange for their protection. After the offer was communicated to the high ranks of the clan, Tasia was welcomed, but with two conditions: she would have to assist their affiliated clan (the Black Dragon) and follow their general rules and code of ethics (which forbade many assassin tactics Tasia used). Not caring as far as she got their protection, she accepted.

Tasia’s attitude towards the clan was completely business-like at the start, no different from the assassination contracts she fulfilled in her prior lifestyle, except this time it was for survival instead of money. The Black Dragon members were quite used to it, most of them had been like that at the start, they had changed thanks to their time in the clan, and they hoped it would be Tasia’s case too. Thankfully, they were right.

As always, it went little by little. First she learned to open herself a bit more to the more friendly members of the clan, such as Kabal, Jarek or Tremor, until they became genuine friends. Then, she started to discover more about their past, how many had a past no better than hers and yet had decided to change their ways genuinely. Intrigued, Tasia started asking her new friends why they had taken that decision, to which many told her that they simply had come to understand it felt more fulfilling like that. They no longer lived lives in which they couldn’t trust anyone around them, they had a new home in the clan, and instead of dedicating themselves to hurting others for their own benefit they could help them while preventing the Golden Dragon from changing their world for the worse.

Tasia eventually started to see it too. Not just by her new friends’ influence, but by the actions she made while assisting the clan. The Black Dragon members, while sometimes had to fight the Golden Dragon, were mostly in charge of assisting all kinds of people wronged by that clan, like civilians who had seen too much to be left alive, for example. Tasia was able to see how the people she assisted in rescuing were able to continue the lives they had nearly lost, whether it was by becoming part a Red Dragon or a Black Dragon, or by being allowed to continue their normal lives thanks to the clans’ protection. As her friends had said, it just made her start to feel good, seeing how her actions could have such a positive effect on others, something she had never even considered. In the end, with enough time, she finally had a genuine change of heart.

Tasia isn’t sure of what she will do once the Golden Dragon is dealt with. She doesn’t know if she will decide to turn herself in or dedicate her whole life to some form of service to the world as a way of atoning for her crimes. It is a sentiment many Black Dragons share, actually. But she and the others are sure of something, now that they have made their decision, they will fight against the Golden Dragon with everything they have, since now they are protectors of their realm and people no matter what they were before.

Jarek Romantic Headcanons

-His primary love language is quality time and his secondary is physical touch. He has no problem being moderately affectionate and flirty in public, but he looks forward to when the two of you can be alone together. He likes getting all of your attention.

-Jarek takes his loyalty seriously, he’s loyal to his boss, to the black dragon and to you. He is trustworthy when he decides someone deserves it, and will defend you to the bitter end.

-That also means he expects loyalty from you, and anything he views as betrayal will destroy the relationship completely. Having said that, partners that he trusts can have an incredibly deep and meaningful bond with him.

-He’s not a closet romantic, candle lit dinners and soft cuddles are not in the cards. He enjoys more lowbrow types of fun with his partner, and his favorite way to spend time with a trained partner would be sparring. For less combat minded S/Os he still likes to find ways to rough house. He likes to do things like picking you up or pin you down and threaten to tickle you.

Despite this, his devotion makes it clear how he feels.
