Backstory
Jynx was born on a gloomy autumn day to Viktor and Astrid Nightshade in Philadelphia. Viktor was an Edenian with brief ties to the Lin Kuei, while Astrid was descended from a long line of witches. They raised their daughter with survival skills, fighting, and witchcraft. But they never told her why…
Jynx was never one to fit in and found herself ostracized by her peers. For as long as she can remember she always had a morbid curiosity with death and anything macabre. Not having many friends due to her odd personality led to poor interaction with others. Betrayal, abuse, and loneliness were all too familiar to her.
After graduating high school, she worked a few odd jobs making just enough money to get by. She was for the most part homeless, staying in various abandoned buildings. During this time her parents were murdered but no one was charged and the case went cold. This led to further decline in her mental health which eventually led to her suicide attempt.
As she drags a razorblade down her wrists, she is unknowingly being watched by Bi-Han/Noob Saibot. He watches from the shadows as she slowly bleeds out debating whether or not to hasten her death but decides on the twisted idea of torturing her by denying her what she wants. He sends his shadow into her wounds to heal them.
Jynx awakes and after momentarily thinking she is dead finds herself alive and now on Shang Tsung’s abandoned island. Her skin turns grey and her eyes black and purple. She also gains new shadow powers and abilities that she believes are somewhat connected to her witchcraft heritage. The piece of Noob’s shadow now living in her forms a bond between her and Noob.
While distant and cold at first Noob eventually warms up to her and helps her learn how to use her abilities and practice fights. Over time her powers grow stronger as well as her bond with Noob. Eventually an attraction forms between them that at first is mostly only physical but evolves into something more.
When Jynx’s powers are at their peak she is potentially stronger than him, but never chooses to find out for real. The shadow brings out her underlying darkness and she acknowledges that she has turned into some kind of monster but doesn’t care. After being rejected over and over again she found acceptance and even some kind of love with Noob, even if he was also a monster.
Having fully mastered her powers, Noob teaches her how to manipulate space to teleport and open portals like he does. She begins to leave the island more and more. Sometimes she exacts revenge on the men who abused her, but most of the time she spends trying to find her parents murderer and the answer to the question she’s always had: Why were they murdered?
Miscellaneous
Noob calls her his shadow as a nickname/pet name.
When fighting an opponent, she enjoys replicating their signature weapon with her shadow magic. “That looks fun.”
Favorite colors are black and purple.
Always wears the pentagram/pentacle her mother gave her when she turned 16. A family heirloom that has been passed down for many generations.
The scars from her suicide attempt are of a purple color from Bi-Han’s shadow entering through the cuts.
The part of Noob’s shadow residing inside her forms a bond between them allowing them to sense each other’s presence and feelings. This also gives Jynx dreams and nightmare’s of Noob’s life, death, and afterlife. And as long as he “lives,” so shall she.
Despite her connection to and affection for Noob, Earthrealm is still her home and she will do whatever it takes to protect it.
Hobbies include collecting bones, searching for her parents’ killer, and baking.
Has fantasized about a threesome with Noob and his shadow Saibot
Loves thunderstorms and getting caught in the rain. Ironically also enjoys piña coladas.
Enjoys jump rope, especially the challenge of two person, one rope style. She has never been the one to mess up first.
Prefers tea to coffee. Welsh Brew black tea, 2 sugars, cream. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are the exception.
Into BDSM, mainly being tied up, choked, and most activities that leave marks. Not into Daddy kink and repulsed by blow jobs and she won’t hesitate to stab someone if they even mention golden showers. Probably has a blood kink. Her safe word is cupcake.

Setting the broom down in the corner of the room I turned to admire my hard work. The sitting room and connecting kitchen were finally done being cleaned and stocked with wares and supplies. With a smile I sat down in the comfy chair in the corner near the window.
I had stumbled upon this old building over a month ago, not long before I kissed Noob and then slept with him. While our bond gave me the sense of a mutual attraction between us, the sex was mostly satisfying a physical need for us both. It had been a while since I last slept with anyone, but for him it must have been more than a few decades if not longer.
The physical desire between us was felt in our bond. That and the sex starvation we both felt made for one hell of a first time between us. Just thinking about that evening being fucked against a wall made me bite my lip. My mind then began to drift to other times since that we fucked.
They were mostly initiated by him but as our bond became stronger each day we could each feel what the other was feeling. So if one of us was turned on it didn’t take long for the other to be. A few times I even sought him out and let him have his way with me.
I was definitely more of a submissive type and had even been in a few bdsm relationships in my past. Having him be forceful at times with me was enough to make me wet. The times when he came to me only to push me up against a wall and fuck me hard with his hand tight around my throat made me feel more alive than I ever had before. So did the times when he’d bend me over the nearest table if there was one and merciless fuck me with my face pressed firmly against the table.
There was something about him I couldn’t resist. Yes he was cold, distant, arrogant, and kind of a jerk but I could sense there was something more. I was surprised at myself how I found the pitch black color of his skin to actually be attractive in my eyes. The way it contrasted against my pale grey skin was in some ways beautiful. And his face while to most would be unattractive, to me was…
A knock on the door brought me back to the present. With a sigh I got up from the chair and went to the door. While he was demanding at times, this little home I made for myself he respected. If I was here he wouldn’t barge in or open a portal unannounced. And the bed I slept in was left untouched by sex. This was my safe place and he did what he could to respect that and keep it that way.
“Yes?” I asked as I opened the door. Noob was standing on the other side looking a little worse for wear. “Are you alright?” I stood aside to let him in and watched as he came into the sitting room. His mask concealed his expression as he looked around but he made a sound of approval. “Noob?” He turned to me.
“It is nothing, my shadow.” Finally getting a better view of his mask I saw the damage to it and the blood coming from the other side.
“That is not nothing!” I immediately went to the small kitchen to get a washcloth. After dipping it in the bucket of water, I returned to the sitting room. Noob was now sitting in one of the chairs at the small dining table. I sat in the chair across from him and reached for his mask. He hesitantly leaned away. “Please?” He stared at me a moment before obliging.
Carefully I removed his hood and then his mask. When I softly pressed the cloth to the wound he didn’t flinch, nor did he when I gently wiped the blood from his face. As I did I began to remember that a small wound like this would take no time at all to heal for him. I blushed a little at my unnecessary concern as I removed the cloth from his face. As usual his face remained almost expressionless as he studied my face.
Despite remembering his fast healing from being a wraith, I couldn’t help myself and gently reached my hand to his face again to check the wound. Seeing that it was indeed shallow and would be healed by morning I smiled, but didn’t remove my hand from his face. Instead I let it rest against his cheek as I admired him.
While he didn’t have hair or much of a nose and his black skin seemed pulled tight in places, I could still see hints of the handsome man he was. He closed his glowing white eyes and rested his head against my palm almost affectionately. I couldn’t help but wonder when the last time was that someone looked at him and didn’t see a monster.
My thumb instinctively caressed his cheek softly making him open his eyes. As if coming back to his senses he pulled away from me and began to stand. “Wait!” He stopped and turned back towards me.
“Yes, my shadow?” His voice was gentler than it has ever been before, his gaze almost affectionate.
“Stay for dinner?” He thought a moment before nodding softly.
“As you wish.” I smiled as he sat back down at the table while I took the bloody cloth and tossed it into the wash basket. Turning towards the kitchen I went in and began to work on a simple stew for dinner.
When the water in the pot above the fire began to boil, I added some vegetables I had found growing in a forgotten garden nearby. I then turned my attention to the meat I had cleaned earlier from a couple rabbits I killed that morning. After cutting it into chunks I added it to the stew along with a few herbs.
“Have you always known how to cook?” I turned quick to see Noob standing nearby. He moved next to me and leaned down to sniff the stew. Straightening, his gaze moved to me. “Smells good.”
“Thank you.” I moved loose strands of hair behind my ear, a nervous habit. “My mother taught me to cook from a young age. I always enjoyed it.” I smiled. “But baking is my specialty.” He nodded, his gaze returning to the stew as I stirred it gently. “Maybe if you’re nice I’ll bake a cake sometime,” I teased.
“Have I not been?” I stopped stirring and looked at him. He seemed almost concerned.
“Of course you have. I was only teasing.” I smiled softly at him as I continued making dinner.
When it was done, we sat at the table and ate. The stew was delicious and the conversation better than I expected. We talked about different things, asking each other about our lives or things we missed. He asked how my training was going and offered to help. I agreed to let him but only if he helped me learn how to open portals like he did. He said we’d start training together the next day.
When we finished our bowls, we talked some more before he finally stood to leave. I invited him to have dinner again and he said he’d consider it. After he left I set to work cleaning up and covering the pot to help keep the stew for the next day. I then washed the dishes used as best as I could with the water in the bucket. With a sigh I picked up the bucket to take it outside.
Walking a ways away from the house I dumped the dirty water and made my way over to the spring. I filled the bucket before making my way back to the house. The sun had already begun to set as I made my way back inside. I left the bucket in the kitchen before heading into the bedroom.
After lighting a lantern I worked on starting a fire in the fireplace. Once I was certain it wouldn’t go out I began to undress and change into the clothes I was using as pajamas. With a yawn I stretched slowly before finally focusing on my bed. Sitting down, about to lay back, my gaze landed on something on my bedside table. A flower, but not just any flower. It was a nightshade flower and it had not been there when I cleaned earlier. A small smile formed on my lips as I came to the only conclusion that made sense. There was only one person who could have gotten that flower and left it for me. And with that thought I got under the blankets and lay down to sleep.
🍼 BABY BOTTLE - what are their thoughts on children?
Jynx doesn't mind them. She would always smile and wave back at them while she was alive. She also has wanted to be a mother but doesn't think that's possible with noob or with her not being so human anymore.
📚 BOOKS - how were they at school? what is their best subject?
She was decent in school. Could have been a straight a student if she wanted but found learning in a classroom to be tedious. Her best subject was always art. Thoughthe subject matter of her artworks was considerably questionable to her art teachers.
📎 PAPERCLIP - a random fact.
The grimoire she uses is a family heirloom from her mother's side. And on her mother's side she is decended from a long distinguished line of powerful high ranking witches, her mother being the first to marry outside of the coven.
Outfits for Jynx, the second one has the wrong boots. will probably redo this post later with the correct boots and maybe some backgrounds. And yeah that last one isn't an obvious rip off of Selene from Underworld (one of the inspirations for the character) lol.
As always for those who missed it, created with X-Girl Game.

As the dust settled I ran over to where Noob was laying. Falling to my knees as I reached him, I pulled him into my arms. “Noob?” His eyes weakly opened and stared up at me.
“My shadow,” he whispered reaching a hand to my cheek. I could feel his strength weakening through our bond. That too was also weak. A lump began to form in my throat.
“It’s going to be okay,” I lied to myself. The sound of footsteps hurriedly approaching barely registered as I fought back tears. “Noob, I love you.” My voice wavered. He weakly smiled.
“I love you, Jynx Nightshade.” With what strength he had left he pulled me into one last kiss. A kiss with a weak but still noticeable transfer of something. And when it was done, his body felt limp and heavy in my arms. My breath hitched.
“Noob?” I rested a hand against his cheek. “Noob…” He wasn’t breathing. Footsteps approached making me glance up. Kuai slowly kneeled across from. I shook my head returning my gaze to Noob’s lifeless body in my arms. “No…” I whispered.
“Jynx,” Kuai started to speak, his voice barely a whisper.
“No, he can’t…” I rested my forehead against Noob’s, my tears falling onto his face. “Please…” My voice broke into a sob. “No.” Holding his body close I began to rock back and forth, quiet sobs escaping my throat.
“He’s gone.” Again I looked up at Kuai. Tears stained his face as he stared at his brother. I shook my head again not wanting it to be true. This had to be a bad dream. This couldn’t be real.
As I looked down at his face I knew it was. He was gone. The only man I ever loved, my soulmate… was gone. My lips quavered as the sobs just came out over and over. Then came the screams. And then the shadows. The hurt and pain were so much I was unable to control my own powers.
He was gone. Our bond was gone. There nothing but a void I knew would never be whole again. And the pain. A pain worse than death.
~
I don’t know how many days had passed. Sitting on a hillside by the ocean, I stared out at nothing. My eyes were tired from crying so much. I had reached a point where I couldn’t anymore. At least for now.
A sigh escaped my lips as I tried to not think. Then I felt it again. Saibot. When Noob died, Saibot had transferred to me attaching itself to the remnants of Noob’s shadow living inside me. And now I was haunted by it. I did everything I could to ignore it, to not let it manifest.
Tears slowly rolled down my cheeks again. Angrily I stood and opened a portal to the house. Going home only made it worse. Noob’s presence still lingered here. I couldn’t ignore it as I curled up in a ball on the bed. I stared at his armor sitting in a heep on a nearby chair. Closing my eyes I silently cried myself to sleep.
~
I had lost track of time. I had lost track of myself. I had started to become numb. I had forgotten how to smile. I had learned how to control Saibot.
Not knowing what else to do I retaught myself to control my powers, and how to control Saibot. I had taken to using Noob’s sickle as a weapon. I had modified his armor, adapting it into my own, including the lower part of his mask. My hair had lost some of its luster, not that it mattered. I cut most of it off in anger.
I was a shadow of my former self. I barely felt anything. Just pain and anger. With Saibot and Noob’s sickle, I spent most of my free time fighting whoever and whatever. Nothing eased the pain of numbness I felt. No matter how many I killed it wouldn’t bring him back. Nothing would.
📖What is their favorite outside of the bedroom activity to do with their partner?
Cooking meals for or with Noob, especially with since his attempts at helping her make dinner are very messy and crude. She keeps telling herself that she'll have to give him lessons on mincing and dicing but never does.
💍Would they ever get married?
Yes. Jynx secretly would love to/longs to get married to Noob but they aren't exactly human so getting married doesn't look to be in the cards. (Spoiler maybe. I may or may not already have an idea for a fic about this...)
🏷 Do they give their partners cute nicknames?
With Noob given her the "my shadow" nickname she has been trying to come up with something for him but isn't very good at cute nicknames. Not to mention Noob doesnt come across as the cute nickname kind of guy.
👫Do they display affection in public? What about in private?
Yes to both. She has no problem letting the world know how much she loves her wraith.
