Hey, I’m just wondering why you draw Jon looking so much older than Martin? They’re the same age, but Jon looks 60 and Martin looks 19. It just feels kind of... irresponsible? I suppose is the word. Like it just feels like it’s normalizing intense age gaps.
Well a short answer is because I want to, next question A long answer bc its 4 am and im procrastinating:
I mean I see you dissing my character designs so honestly I’m mainly curios why you go on my blog and don’t responsibly filter your online experiences like an adult? Secondly, Jon canonically looks older than he is, has greying hair, is mistaken for someone who might not know how internet works, and mentions how events of canon has aged him up even more, so I’m very much within my rights to draw him looking mid 40 to 50, as I’ve been doing since 2019. Honestly he looks younger now than he did then. In fact my Jon doesn’t look much older than irl Jonny writerman so ??
As for Martin he... looks like a normal drawn mid 20 to 30 year old. What do you people think 30 year olds look like?
Not to mention the fact that my Martin is Eurasian, like myself, and some of my other asian friends have noted how weird this remark is. If you assume asian facial characteristsic make someone look 19 by default then tbh it’s something you yourself gotta deal with.
Lastly, I’m no one’s babysitter or parental control fhdjsk. If you look at a rando’s art on the interned with a mild visual age gap and is immedeately grappled by the thoughts of whether you should date someone three times your age it’s not my issue, I don’t go on tumblr.com to make sure children on the internet are okay.
