i have a lovehate relationship with money in real life, and to extent also in stgr, but oh do i love mknz's relationship w money

to be precise, when they were poor. when nazupi's only been in town for a month or two, when she still dreams of buying things and saving up money; when mikoda was using the money he saved (if he won from blackjack) to buy her a volito because she said she wanted one; when nazupi covered the bills for mikoda when he was low on money because he kept losing in blackjack; when he kept going back to the casino because he insists on getting nazupi her volito; when he insists on nazupi keeping all the fines money and not sharing with him or anyone else, because he thinks she's too selfless; when nazupi realized mikoda's bare minimum lifestyle was all for buying her volito, so she takes his winnings and buys him a thrax; when mikoda runs after nazupi in suspicion of what she's doing with his money; when they bought a house together to save costs; when as seniors they had to do the finance work of giving everyone bonuses and nazupi took over mikoda's task because he's too tired

the last one's when they're richer and it's a little sad, but i still think it fits with the theme of mknz intertwined with money and. well. it's money, it can't be all sunshine and rainbows

i say eim(as in bobsappaim) and nazupi are spiritually twins because of how similar they are, and i've been thinking about that other post where i talked about how mikonazu are similar (can't find the fucking post for the life of me) and i kinda understand now. where as nazupi and bobsappaim are similar in the way they're mirrors of one another, but still want to be separate (as twins do), nazupi and mikoda instead are similar in the way wavelengths that aren't exactly the same can still harmonize at certain points. if i break it down like that that just sounds pretty average, but i mean it in the way that if the two frequencies are played together, unless you know a thing or two about sound, you wouldn't be able to tell that there are two sounds in one, and they complement one another in the way they're better together than apart.

the other idea i have is that they're two halves of one. we know they're similar in ways and different in others. if we take it at face value even bobsappaim is more similar to nazupi than mikoda; but in the way that nazupi with anyone else are two different people, and between any combination of any of them, they can be close and compliment each other, they can be similar and resemble each other, i see mikoda and nazupi as souls or entities that overlap, not entirely, but the boundaries that encompasses each individual are blurry when it comes to them. like telepathy, or a another window into the same house, knowing how nazupi feel or thinks is simultaneously knowing how mikoda feel or thinks

i'm beginning to be able to put into words why i love these two. i like them both, as two together, and i can say it's love that brings them together, but now i can say that there's many definitions of love, and where this is still love, it's not the dating, marriage, or even kiss, love; it's the love where you find someone you understand so well, their pain their happiness, for they are so similar to you, and with your special power of a higher level of empathy, you do everything in your power to help them, be it knowing how to cheer them up, communicating their feelings to others who can't understand, or simply letting them know that they are understood.

this makes mikoda fall to the dark side ever more painful. whereas there's a clean line between most two people, with or without nazupi involved, straight or a much harder to break cleanly line, mikonazu is a piece you could not break apart into 2 without each piece carrying a part of the other. even if they didn't know each other before stgr, even if it's only 6 months, nazupi isn't the same without mikoda, and mikoda isn't the same without nazupi and the police team

it's still them, but watching them individually after their parting, you would only know a part of mikoda, because some part of him is stuck with nazupi. as much as i love fan art of nazupi from the pov of the new police generation's fans, i know that they've never seen dogs buddy nazupi, so they'll never depict that nazupi, because they'll never see her again, because parts of her is carried by people that no longer wake up, or mikoda, who doesn't walk the same path as her no more.

the golden age of oreapo was ages ago. today, however infrequent, they still interact, still with that vibe, that dynamic that they're loved for

and i'm so very jealous, because even though mikonazu was together 12 hours per day everday day for a few months(rounding numbers here), once they part, their interactions are few and far between, and you could tell their lack of interaction in the span of time between the last time they interacted and this time definitely changed their dynamic. and over time, it's only getting more and more infrequent.

oreapo fans can wait a month or two for those two to interact again, and i'm sitting here with nazupi who's (probably) not coming back to stgr, and mikoda who barely wakes up himself(and barely streams for fucks sake). hinano and kamito are still in the same circle of streamers so you can expect them to cross paths once or twice. mikoda and nazupi basically only ever interacts in stgr (with exception of that one time mikoda participated in vcr minecraft and that other time nazupi invited mikoda to duo valorant with her but that was still only a month or two after he fell to the dark side) and now basically both of them are inactive in the only place they meet

i don't know how long i'll follow them around for, but until the moment i stop paying attention, i want to see, just once more, of these two's interaction. (the last time they interacted was in september 2025, one of nazupi's last stgr streams before season 1 ended, so it's ~8 months they haven't interacted as of the making of this post, and a lovely 2 years could you believe it, since mikoda's defect)

reria has this like 5 and a half hours long livestream where she talks about stgr headcanons with the fans, and it's so dense with information(headcanons) i haven't watched it all yet, but there was this comment when i was pressing on timestamps randomly in the comment section

"mikoda is harsh to nazupi because he doesn't want her to fall to the dark side like he did"

i feel like i've subconciously had this headcanon before, but tbh i mostly imagine mikoda as being sweet to nazupi(like he was before he went to the dark side) because i prefer that over the clearly gangster-turned mikoda of the truth

oh and to add on to that comment, nazupi used to go on and on about her plans to aggressive police him, throwing him in prison and fining him whenever she gets the chance, if he happens to fall to the darkside. well he fell to the darkside anyways, not to her surprise, and she started using the excitement to catch/target him as a motivation, as a way to assure to her colleagues that she was fine after his departure.

and, then, it kind of stopped. she got caught in her work; whatever crime related or unrelated incidents out there; whatever having to do with people, or places or money, etc, etc. on one hand it's the job that she loves, on the other hand, mikoda blended into the background. what was once motivation to keep going, way to punish him, way to prove him wrong, became just another task to do, another hassle she has to solve. i write this hoping you could understand the pain i felt when she started being nice to him. being. nice. to him. it went from aggressively "i'm gonna send you to prison!!!" to "whatever i stopped fining people for that one anyways."

so it wasn't just mikoda that might've tried to be more harsh, it was, once again, a mutual feeling. but whereas mikoda sometimes went to initiate her annoyance and desire for revenge, nazupi just became mellower each time. and just like that comment, i headcanon that mikoda secretly hopes that she would target him, because that's proof to him that she resents him for what he does, proof that she's not sick of the police work yet, because nazupi in his eyes is the most righteous, who would never let him down slowly for betraying her in their promised justice, and who would never fall to the darkside like he did. every time mikoda goes to annoy her, he hopes to light a spark to start a flame that would edge her back into the bright side, where she belongs.

more context on that controlling boyfriend clip (~3 minutes worth of clips)

feb 8, 2024, mikoda accuses nazupi of spoiling him for buying him (child friendly) cigarettes to use instead of letting him buy it himself(he was low on money)

5 days later, mikoda says tabako(cigarettes), and nazupi gives it to him. nazupi then realizes that she's actually spoiled him because he now asks her for it like he's entitled to it(jk lmao). mikoda blames nazupi for spoiling him, stating that she payed for his morning curry even though he intended to pay for it himself

nazupi insists that she did that because he had no money, and then asked he has how much currently after his claim, he had 4mil(in total), which is really little, and then she pulls out her phone as mikoda sits down

(this is the clip i took out a while back) mikoda sees her taking out her phone and immediately cuffs her to prevent her from sending him money. mikoda sarcastically asks what she was trying to do, to which she lies, and the controlling boyfriend bit starts. [go back to that other post for more details i'm not transcribing a clip twice, not one this detailed anyways]

nazupi got up before mikoda, and continues tazing him to keep him down. mikoda threatens to retaliate when he's up. nazupi teases about how he's gonna do that if he's shaking on the ground due to the taser

mikoda does some jutsu to stand up before the effect of the taser is up, and tases nazupi, cuffs her, only for her to put him in the stretcher, and the childish fight stops

valentines evening(no longer bloody)

the whole day of bloody valentines, composing of 2 sessions of stgr opening, one from 13/2 night to early morning of valentines, and continuing to evening of valentines and early morning of the next day, is one of the days with the most amount of clips in my spreadsheet(~20 clips)

aside from the ones i've just shown you, there's also the lighter clip(like 1:30AM on valentines, before bloody valentines event)

a clip of mikoda beating the shit out of his good-childhood-friend-with a-girlfriend kanzaki osamu for making fun of single mikoda

a clip of mikoda doing his trash man service on his thrax(i'm pretty sure there was a clip made at the same time, with the same content, the only difference being mikoda was talking about falling to the darkside or not(after the crazy bloody valentines), and that was the one i meant to save, but o well)

around 5pm, when the server just opened

mikoda goes to pick up his commission(6PM) (he delivered the gift on the 15th)

mikoda excitedly asks about the exchange program with the medics, but heard from min dori that nazupi decided not to go because all of dogs were awake, so changed his mind and decided dogs was more important (8PM)

one of the most viewed clips on mikoda's channel(by my standards): the clip of mikoda saying "nazupi suki"(nearly 10PM

also reria's reaction to the thrax nazupi gifted mikoda, which at that point had a sticker of nazupi on one side and one of mikoda on the other, which is a detail so small mikoda was surprised reria noticed (11PM)

in the old post i made about bloody valentines, the youtube video that i linked of nazupi's pov, you could see the continuation of this, where mikoda became mikochan, or karin-chan if you're well informed

btw i'm delulu as fuck so i'll make something about mikonazu whenever possible, including the cute stuff that's not necessarily romantic; and this isn't necessarily romantic either, but aside from being bombarded with unconditional love most days, mikoda is the kinda person to feel really bad about abandoning his buddy, so he'll go above and beyond to make up for it, even if nazupi herself doesn't hold any resentment against him for doing it

like what is this, that's lover material. get yourself a person who loves you to the point of running to apologize when they think they have something to apologize for, somebody who thinks they can't risk losing their relationship with you, get nazupi a mikoda

she can try to be tsundere all she wants but nazupi genuinely couldn't hide her happiness when she got the apology gift

bloody valentines(updated) continued

19 mins later, 3:46, mikoda speedruns creating a burner account(apparently you can do this in stgr) to anonymously find the person that sells cosmetics

3:54, less than 10 minutes later, mikoda could be seen going to buy nazupi an apology present, the same one you could see him give her in the youtube video i don't remember if i've talked about before

12 minutes later, 4 08AM, he receives a teasing call from admiguez han, as he does his errands in his house. (i'm hearing a voice that sounds like nazupi's in the background of that clip but could be mistaken, also i've watched this exact moment in admin's video, and after this moment he went on a chase with admiguez han, in which at some point they passed by the station and nazupi's voice could be heard(she's woken up), and mikoda finishes his chase before running back to the station because he's been waiting for her to wake up

20 minutes later, at 4:29, he enters the station from the basement parking lot, probably after his chase with admiguez han, you could hear nazupi's voice as he starts climbing the stairs, and when he saw nazupi on the opposite end of the station, he step back down into hiding. was he unable to face her after his guilt? who knows

nearly half an hour later, 4 minutes before the server ends, mikoda was running around in the station parking lot, when he saw nazupi's volito, the one that he gifted her, touched down right before him, he glanced away, finished his conversation with orca, and when nazupi approached him, he immediately cuffed her and carried her away to the back of the station, aka their shared house

nazupi doesn't sound angry, if anything she's very confused when mikoda started apologizing profusely. the clip ends less than 2 minutes from the server closing

and then less than a minute remaining, the clip that i've posted without context before, mikoda listening to nazupi talk as he runs around the container house, before getting stuck on a ladder and the server ends in the middle of their conversation

technically that evening of the same day, but 12 hours later, both woke up from the server open time, in their house, still in their casual clothes they wore to sleep last night. this is probably their first time and also their last time going to sleep at their house when the server closes and waking up at their house when the server open, together.
