Heal

      It was stupid really, the kind of situation she'd gotten herself into; a few too many extra steps taken in a hurry to get away from the crowds. Crowds of people never spelled out good things for Lina. Of course, it wasn't as if she was a wanted criminal (though by the way she acted sometimes, you'd be forgiven for thinking she was) but the mere thought of being caught, or being told she was hopeless pathetic, that she didn't know what was good for her sent her running. And now she was stuck down an empty back street, back against the wall whilst taking deep breaths to try and settle her pulse. And to also settle her stomach; she'd never been good with the sight of blood.

      All she'd done was tripped, her feet travelling slower than her mind wanted to escape. The glass on the floor had shredded the skin on her left leg to ribbons as soon as she'd landed on it. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. At least, she kept telling herself that to save herself from going into a sheer blind panic. Gritting her teeth, she opened her eyes and looked up and down the alley, her hand pressed against her leg. The emptiness of the surrounding area brought on a new kind of panic. She closed her eyes again, willing herself to just breathe and think. Come on Lina, this isn't that bad, stop being so dramatic. You just need to stand up. Stand up, try and call someone, sort it out. Come on. 

      She wasn't sure if she heard the other person or whether she'd just hoped for it too much that she was imagining someone there. But as she opened her eyes, she saw a girl with long hair and thought that she was probably the most amazing person in the world at that very moment. "Sorry, can I er... Can I get some help?" Lina asked, embarrassed at the state she was in, all over a simple fall, trying to stand. "I'm sorry to bother you, it's just..." she gestured towards her leg and promptly fell back against the wall.

Quickly helping the woman off from the floor, she winced herself when she saw the bruise that it had left on her arm, and she offered her the napkin she had to wipe off some of the snow that had gotten on her clothes. “There was really nobody around but me, and I’m not one to judge. I slip and fall all the time—” She wasn’t sure if that was all that assuring, but she gave the other a wide grin before backing up slightly to give her some room to catch her breath. It all happened to suddenly, and she looked around to see if anybody else was around. “Yup. Just me.”
