We Wish You a Merry Christmas
It hadn’t been Gilgamesh’s idea, but strangely enough, he had not been against it when Arturia had suggested they take half a day off to go Christmas shopping.
Of course, being Gilgamesh, he had not agreed without demanding something in return, and they had reached a compromise: he would come with her shopping in the afternoon, as long as she went out to dinner with him in the evening.
It had come with a lot of arguing, because Arturia was currently looking after a little tiger cub that had gotten lost and the zoo still hadn’t had the chance to come pick it up, and she was reluctant to leave it alone for long periods of time. Since he wouldn’t however budge on his request, they had finally come to an agreement.
It wasn’t too surprising that Arturia wanted to go Christmas shopping for presents since, even though neither of them had a large group of friends, she was determined to get presents for all of them nonetheless. She had always had a soft spot for Christmas, he knew, because her older brother Kay had used to make it magical for her by dressing up as Santa Claus and delivering her presents.
Her favourite gift had been a wooden model of a sword she had insisted upon christening Caliburn – and had kept on her bedside table for years – but Gilgamesh remembered that she had been equally smitten with a lion doll, which always made him smirk since it had been from him. She hadn’t been aware of it until just a few days before, as for some reason he had not felt the need to tell her the truth, simply content with knowing that his present had made her happy.
Her reaction had been hilarious though, since she had obviously felt conflicted between thanking him and being suspicious of his motives; he had decided not to clarify her confusion, and even though he had given his terms, in the end he had not refused when she had asked him along for the shopping.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town
The conversations that took place in class were mostly about idle subjects and never particularly interesting, but lately they had truly begun to be tedious.
Only because Christmas was approaching, it seemed that people could solely talk about the festivities, instead of choosing subjects at least slightly more meaningful. Not that Gilgamesh had ever had high hopes when it came to his classmates’ intelligence, but they certainly didn’t encourage him to try to change his mind on that.
He had never understood all the fuss there was around Christmas. It was completely and utterly pointless, and he would not waste his time with something so unworthy of him, especially if it was something most mongrels seemed to be so fascinated by.
That was why he was fuming about the fact that he had been forced to go to a Christmas party of all things.

NINTH OF THE WINTER STORIES
THEME: faith.
In Dulci Jubilo
Irisviel enjoyed going shopping with Arturia. The blonde woman could never be persuaded to go shopping for clothes with her – as she claimed that Irisviel had a bit too much enthusiasm, and no one could deny that she had a point – but shopping for food was still a very pleasant occurrence.
As usual when they were out together, Irisviel did most of the talking, but she paid close attention to the brief replies Arturia gave her, and to her slight surprise, she began to notice a pattern in what her friend said.
When they chose the vegetables for the week, as Irisviel chatted about the many recipes she wanted to try, Arturia muttered a brief sentence about tomatoes and added them to the cart. Just two days before, Gilgamesh had shown to be fond of them.
When they went on to buy some fruit, after taking oranges – Irisviel’s favourite – and grapes – Arturia’s favourite – the blonde woman shook her head at the pineapples about which Irisviel had been undecided. A few weeks before, Gilgamesh had almost had a seizure when tasting some, which had made them find out that he was allergic.
And so on and so forth, until Irisviel started counting and realized that it had happened no less than six times.
Wherever they went in the shopping mall, Arturia filled the cart as sensibly as always, yet Irisviel couldn’t help noticing that not only did she show consideration for Gilgamesh’s preferences, she also knew all his preferences.
As soon as she realized the implications of that, Irisviel stopped abruptly in the middle of a short monologue in defence of the less salty soy sauce and turned to stare at her friend.
“Arturia, are you in love with Gilgamesh?”

EIGHTH OF THE WINTER STORIES
THEME: understanding.
Introduction
This blog is dedicated to new stories, art, ideas and short conversations revolving around the pairing of Gilgamesh x Arturia. There’s two people on this account, Christy and MKY.
You can find me on tumblr as Christinethethunnus, or on twitter and Asterne_In_a_Sky on AO3. I prefer to be called Christy, and am an amateur artist (and am planning some stories of my own) Askbox for art is open but will not be prioritized. I do not draw nsfw requests.
I go by Midori or KMKH, and I'm on AO3 with all kinds of fanfics about GilArt (some are available only to registered users) with two accounts, KMKH and MidoriKurenaiYume (or MKY, this one solely with stories titled after Kalafina songs). I love exchanging opinions about this couple and writing about them whenever I have the time. I'm afraid I don't do prompts though.
