i was just watching a bit of the English dub of Jubilation for the first time

and apparently, just before we see the babies for the first time, Chat Noir says, word for word:

They're so cute at this age

ngl i find it very funny that there's an entire episode (jubilation) where it is revealed to marinette that her greatest dream is to live her life out with chat noir

and then it takes an additional two episodes for her to realize, wait, maybe i'm in love with chat noir

in ML paris there are "tyrannosaurus pigeon hybird dinos"? just... around? casually? this is apparently a normal accepted thing?

ok i know im going against what i myself have said, but im coming around to the fact that illusion was aired three episodes later than it should have been. do i think it was deliberate and well-thought-out? absolutely not! but consider:

imagine you've just watched 5x04 Jubilation. ladybug and chat noir have just lived a dream live with four demon babies and chat has almost killed a man. then you see 5x05 Illusion. gabriel acting as a real father? weird, but you assume it's a plot of some sort. little bit of marinette being embarrassed in front of adrien? healthy. a Resistance being formed? interesting. i wonder what'll happen next with that plot point.

and then you see the reversal of the love square (5x06), the kwami swap with lady noire flirting with mr bug as if her life depended on it (5x07), more ladynoir flirting with trivia buff adrien (5x08), and basically no Nino in any of these, and definitely no Resistance.

i think it'd just be a little weird. Of course, this all depends on what our next few episodes focus on. im under the impression that they're adrinette-focused, so the Resistance will come back, and if that's true then i think the 5+ episode gap between any mention at all of the Resistance would be a little weird.

but if the Resistance was a one-off plot point to throw our heroes off of Monarch's trail, well, then, never mind.
