Just Stunning!
It was such a beautiful evening last night, with a deep red sunset, atmospheric clouds and a orange glowing moon. It certainly was a distraction for Allen and I, who was doing a reassessment on part of the ML syllabus. Great watching an efficient navigator at work! Well done Allen!

Just completed an ML assessment and the start of a modular course, so decided a bit of a relaxing day was in order! I've walked by the Watkin Path waterfalls so many times, so we ventured up there and and had a little paddle and a kip!
What a night!
A terrific few days on a ML assessment expedition, especially as last night we were treated to a spectacular lightening storm on the horizon. Although typical of July(!) we got absolutely soaked.

A week in June
Its been really busy the last week introducing people to scrambling for Seren Ventures, working on an ML Expedition assesment, climbing on the sea cliffs and a SPA trg course! Off out on a ML refresher later today looking at night navigation, probably going to be a late one!
Work and Bank Holiday Adventures!
Last week was undoubtedly the wettest and windiest so far this year and I truly thought all the ML assessment candidates demonstrated some real determination just to survive the expedition! The 1st day of it was lovely, but by the time of the night navigation we were being buffeted by 40mph winds with horizontal driving rain. After drying out, another exploring adventure in the quarries beckoned over the weekend with visiting friends, its staggering trying to grasp how large Dinorwic actually is as there are still areas to find.

Has the summer gone already?
Its been an entertaining and enjoyable few weeks walking and climbing over the hills of Snowdonia with great company, plenty of smiles and moments of sheer disbelief! Over the "Wedding" weekend the park was still extremely busy and I heard that people couldn't find a space at Pen Y Pass at 0715!! At the same time I managed to make a school boy error on Snowdon's summit and in strong gusting winds, a nice expensive pair of Oakley Sunglasses decided to leave my head and disappear into the wilderness of Cwm Clogwyn!

The Last Month!
It seems like summers arrived here this week as the sun tan lotion has been dusted off and I've found myself lounging on the best beaches in North Wales! I've been kept very busy working on and running Mountain Leader and Single Pitch training and assessment courses the last few weeks amongst several climbing courses. Today was spent with 3 clients working towards their ML assessment refreshing their skills spotting flowers and identifying rocks as well as looking at security on steep ground! Micro navigation tomorrow!

4 lads from one of the Isle of Man's Activity Centres all had a successful outcome last week and we didn't get wet! In actual fact it was stunning weather!
