okay, another piece of ML lore that makes me angry is that the Miraculous are Chinese in origin yet most of the weapons in question...aren’t even Chinese
Like the snake’s weapon is a fucking Greek lyre, like ???? like make a Greek set if you wanted to include a lyre because I guarantee you that there IS an instrument that involves snakeskin and is Chinese in origin and that’s the sanxian (btw, Japan’s shamisen is derived from this instrument)
like i’ve previously made the snake’s weapon be a pungi (because i thought the snake’s power was going to hypnotism and therefore snake charming came to mind), but i’ve now decided that if i were to remake ML and wanted to be very concrete in that the Miraculous were made in ancient China, then all the weapons and jewelry should be Chinese
