My faves + how problematic they are (scale of 1-10)
1. ADRIEN
Sins: Borrowed irreplacable antique book without asking and promptly lost it (but for good reason and it was in fact stolen from him). Rare bouts of petty jealousy.
Problematic score: 1
2. MARINETTE
Sins: Repeated instances of phone theft, repeated instances of entering private or closed public spaces under false pretenses (at least once as a superhero, sniffed pillow), was a month late for mother’s day, prone to jealousy and acting on it in ways that genuinely hurts people but always regrets it afterwards
Problematic score: 2
3. FELIX
Sins: Impersonated cousin and tried to make all his friends hate him, repeatedly manipulated said cousin for his own gain, squished fine cheese under his pillow, tried to strike a bargain with local supervillain, tried to kiss local superhero against her will, repeatedly entering his evil uncle’s not-so-secret lair, stealing several items of jewelry from evil uncle for unclear purposes, listening at doors, unmasked evil uncle as local supervillain and told no-one
Problematic score: 7 (mitigated some by him being fourteen and the main victim being his evil uncle)
4. CHLOÉ
Sins: Bad personality, petty bullying, plagiarism, classicism, corruption, verbal abuse of family and friends, abuse of family’s political powers, sabotaging professionals, destroying a hand-made birthday present, using unearned superpowers, abusing unearned superpowers, throwing innocent bystanders at akumas, repeatedly getting akumatised willingly, wasting the time of public officials
Problematic score: 8 (mitigated some by most of this being for comedy purposes)
5. KAGAMI
Sins: Awkwardness and pride
Problematic score: 0
6. THE FIREMAN
Sins: Helped middle school girl spy on her friends under the guise of “safety”, was a bit too into his RPF ship in front of them, believed Lila Rossi’s lies, wore his uniform to a private party (possibly while still on the clock)
Problematic score: 1
7. BOB ROTH
Sins: Capitalism, lying to his clients and employees, laughing at the dreams of other people, crimes againts fashion
Problematic score: 6
8. PLAGG
Sins: Caused The Great Extinction, sunk Atlantis, nearly got Cat Noir and Ladybug unmasked because of careless cheese consumption, traumatised holder by running away from home and leaving behind a poor substitute, was a bit of a selfish jerk while suffering akuma-induced amnesia
Problematic score: 3
9. ANDRÉ BOUGEOIS
Sins: Corruption (according to his daughter), comandeering the law at his own discretion, letting himself be bullied into using his political power on his family’s whims, cooperation with evil megacorporations, membership in shady swingers’ club, badly thought through use of publich money, general ineptitude
Problematic score: 6 (mitigated considerably by his being a genuinely kind and loving father, even to the result of his wife’s infidelity)
10. HARRY CLOWN
Sins: Professional cringe
Problematic score: Depends on the individual viewer’s level of coulrophobia
