The dark coated mare adjusted the hood covering her horns, pulling the thick fabric lower over her forehead so only her open daytime eyes could be seen beneath it’s shade. This land she had found herself in was...strange to say the least. The ground was soft underhoof, the neon colours of foliage assaulting her vision after years spent in a land of greys. She breathed out slowly, back warmed by the unfamiliar sun overhead, this place was the home of ponies, and the home of their ruler the ill mentioned controller of the sun, Celestia and her Moon reigning sister Luna.
The kotem huffed softly, glancing down as she kicked a rock down the path, her wings itching beneath the heavy fabric of her cloak. Flying would be faster but she couldn’t risk being identified if her hood blew off, not yet. She lifted her gaze as she reached the top of the inclined path, before her a colourful town sat thriving with life. Ponies of all kinds, earth, pegasi and unicorns alike.
Lumi’s ears flicked back for a second, these ponies were enjoying the sun that had once basked her homeland in it’s life giving warmth, their crops were plentiful, their nights lit by moonlight, they did not seem to be struggling in the slightest in the means of survival. She clenched her jaw for a moment before sighing, she had to let those thoughts go if she were to learn anything from these ponies. Grudges held strong but it would get her nowhere if she let it show.
The kotem took a deep breath in before slowly, and cautiously, making her way towards the town. Trihorns and wings concealed beneath her cloak as she approached, unease pinching at the back of her mind. She did not fear ponies, but she did fear their ruler, if Celestia had taken the sun she had no doubt the alicorn held ill intent to her kingdom. Or not, maybe she had no idea of the lives she’d sentenced to the deathly cold, but that ignorance was even more infuriating.
