I don't really like the racism allegories in mlp...

They feel so, performative? Bad? It's not just the racist ugly ass unicorn. It's a whole system. That is what must die along with the Unicorn.

It's also weird to have these protagonists be seen in this racist way where pony first rhetoric is talked about similarly to "America First" It feels like a really surface level understanding of oppression. Do you understand how weird it was when Rarity called Zecora's masks creepy and was never challenged on that? A child might see this and see their non European culture as weird.

MLP FIM reeks of White feminism.

Maybe ponies are better seen as an oppressed group? idk it would make sense. Girly media often is subject to misogyny. We could have pop coded ponies too like Pinkie Pie who I hc as Black.

Maybe Tirek can be seen as someone trying to steal the resources of the ponies like what colonizers do?
